I fly southwest and read on the website that if I stay at a m life resort and present them with my number they will give me 600 rapid rewards points. I did that over haloween and still haven't seen anything.

I stayed at the Luxor and just went to m life desk and told her...truth be told she seemed like I was bugging her for a task that was beyond her.

Anyone ever tried that and If so how long does it usually take for the points to post?

I have never bothered to give the my number - figured my comped room would not get me any points anyways.

In the end, that 600 points are worth around $6-$10 depending on the usage. And of course, worth nothing if not used or are extra just sitting in your Southwest account.

As to the desk clerk entering it. EVERYTHING they have to do in their systems is a hassle. Someday the powers to be at MGM will figure out how many millions they are wasting in wasted labor costs. Until then, customers and employees just have to suffer.

This is from the MLiffe site, I got credited for two stays earlier this year using this method.

Members may request past credits up to 6 months prior to check out. Please contact M life Member Services at [email protected] or 866.761.7111 and provide your full name, home address, property visited, dates of stay, M life number and Rapid Rewards account number. Only stays ending on or after May 31, 2013 are eligible for retroactive requests.

It also says it could take 6 - 8 weeks for credits to appear.

I have never had the points added from the clerk inputting the info. And I think they say it takes 4-6 weeks for the points to post, if they do in fact input the info. If you want the points, email [email protected] and give them your name, address, property where you stayed, dates of stay, mlife#, and Rapid Rewards#. I have done this twice and they subsequently gave me the points.

I stayed at MGM on 9/26 and my 600 points were automatically credited by 10/6. When I checked in they already had my rapid rewards number attached to my account from previous trips. If you don't get them soon I would suggest you contact them as stated previously.

I recently stayed at the Mirage. The desk clerk was only interested in selling me early check in for $30. I requested three times she add my RR number, and she still did not do it. Then she stated our room was not ready but we would receive a text when ready. I proceed over to MLife to get $50 MyVegas free play added to my card. The clerk asks for my room number, so I told her it was not ready. She looked in the system and said you are in room 11080. I went up to the room and sure enough it was ready! Three hours later they sent me the text!

No more MLife and MyVegas for us. Cancelled my next trip with them and booked Cosmo! I do not like being lied to. Never did get the RR points either, so I will have to call.

I emailed after my May trip to get the backdated points for May and January. Recently on my November trip, I didn't mention it at all. Couple days later it showed up on my rr account. I'm assuming they tied my mlife and rr number in my mlife profile.
