    My Trip Report

Last night I am sitting on my couch, remote in hand and ready for a great night of college hoops action when the phone rings.I groan inwardly as the first thing I hear is "BORGATA BABY...LET'S GO!!".I tell my friend that no I don't want to go to Atlantic City tonight even as I start calculating what time I need to be back to make it to work.So of course 5 minutes later I am in the shower and he is on the way to pick me up.

Three and a half hours later we arrive at the Borgata(the BEST hotel casino in AC)at about 9 PM and at 9:05 we are scouting the craps tables. There were six tables going with four of them being $25 dollar tables and two that were $10 tables.I prefer smaller limit tables(even though I usually have at least $50 or more spread out at any given time)but the $10 tables were PACKED with at least 16 people on each table.I decided to wait until I could get a spot but my friend had the itch and bought in for $500 at a $25 table.

The table only had two other players so I stood and watched as my friend played. When the roll got to him he decided to put $25 on ALL the hardways and wouldn't you know it his first roll was the hard four.He took down his hardways but then left up $25 on the hard four for the dealers. Two rolls later he again hits a hard four and the dealers pocket $250 and are loving him.Twenty minutes and three points later he colors in up over $1100 and I kick myself for not getting in on the roll he had.

As he walks away to cash in I again go looking for a smaller limit table and and happy to find they have lowered one of the $25 tables to $15.
I buy in for $800 and when Adam finds me I am about even.He has about $50 in chips that he hadn't cashed in yet and starts playing next to me.The next 45 minutes are up and down until the roll gets to an Aussie guy who thinks he is the Michael Jordan of tossing the dice.Every time before he rolls stares at the dice in front of him for like 10 seconds like he is communicating with them and then blows air in and out of his cheeks, making it look like he is actually physically exerting himself.I was getting ready to ask the pit boss for some oxygen for him.
I am now convinced maybe he IS the Michael Jordan of dice tossing. His first point was 8 and I had $15 on the Pass with $40 in odds.I bought the 4 and 10 for $25 each and the 6 for $30.He proceeds to roll three sixes in a row so I basically have my money back. Then he rolls the point and things are starting to look pretty good. The next point is 9 and I back it up with $60 in odds.He rolls another 6 and I press it to $60 then again and I press it to $90.Then after a few more numbers he rolls the point. Now things are REALLY looking up. His next point is again 8 and I back it up with $125 in odds and bet all the hardways for $10 with the dealers piggy backed for $2.He hits two hardways for me(and the dealers) including the ten which I now press to $50 on my place bet.I am quite happy when he rolls two more sixes which I then press to $150.
He ends up hitting one more point and rolls the six for me SIX more times, each time getting me $175.His roll ended up being about 45 minutes and at the end there I was doing my MJ imitation and sticking my tongue out every time he rolled.
We had a great time and I cashed out for $3100 and threw the dealers $50.Adam actually cashed out for $1400 after starting at that table with only $50 and he also threw the dealers an extra $50.The actual casino time only ended up being three hours and driving time was seven as we actually decided to leave with a bunch of their money. Now I am ready for VEGAS BABY!!!!! I reallllllly don't want to go to work now after winning $2300.I think my throat feels scratchy.
    Only 5 days to go.

I would like to make a reservation. I need a place between you and Mikey on Friday night at the craps table.

Yowza! What a great time. I'm a big Borgata fan too. If I don't have the time for a Vegas getaway (and after my Hawaii vacation, I don't for awhile) I'm happy to get myself up to NJ for a weekend. For some reason though, I'm not as comfortable at Borgata's craps tables as I am at Claridge (which I like overall, but not nearly as much as B). Perhaps it's because the first time I ever stepped up to them I found myself with a table completely filled with darksiders? Dunno. I have made some money there on craps, but nowhere near as much as I like sitting down to blackjack in the small pit area near Noodles of the World.

    Kitty...
I LOVE when I have a whole table of darksiders...there is nothing better than getting on a great roll and clearing the table.
Maybe I'll see you at the Borg someday.

Good chance of it Steve, we're there on almost a monthly basis!

The time I related was perhaps the 3rd time I had ever stepped up to a craps table, so it was highly intimidating! I need a little more - no make that a LOT more - craps experience to be completely comfortable there. I've been playing blackjack since about 1997, and I think last year was the first time I ever sat at a table without my hubby there. Now I'll even sit at 3rd base [IMG]
