If I make my reservation now as a Diamond that does not include resort fees- if- when I check- in I am no longer Diamond- will I be charged those fees?

    A/C in December!?

That's a good question. I would think whatever your reservation says at the time of booking is what you would be charged.

That's what makes sense to me, but you never know with money and Las Vegas!

You should call the desk. Resort fees are collected/charged at check in, I believe. If your trip is prior to March 31, you are still Diamond and should not be charged no matter what.

I thought resort fees were charged on a day-by-day basis. So I would think you would have to pay them regardless of when you book if you're no longer diamond when you check in

So I just made a reservation over the phone for a trip in April staying at the flamingo. I'm diamond now but will lose my diamond come April so I asked them this very question. The reservation person asked her supervisor who said that there should be no resort fee charged because the reservation was booked with no resort fee. After my trip I'll let you guys know if they did/didn't charge the resort fee

I would say don't be surprised to be charged the resort fee. I hope you are not but if you don't qualify for the exemption at the time of use I would think you would be charged.

Happily this turns out to be moot for me as my Diamond was updated recently! But, I would be interested in what happens to jh on his trip.

What an interesting point. I can't wait to hear the actual answer. Please post it.
I think you will be charged the resort fee as they will bring up your account at the time of check-in and it will not be labeled as diamond. Let us know how it goes.

you are probably aware of this but I'll add my 2 cents...no matter your level, check in at the VIP desk to see if they'll remove some charges. I saved over $200 last trip at Ballys and I was only low level Platinum.
