I have a comped room next week, and my reservations were made before March 1. I know that I will not have to pay a resort fee because my reservations were made before March 1, but do I still get the amenities that I would if I were paying the resort fee? I do want access to the work out room, but do not want to pay for it.

I would expect that because you under the "old policy" you will get the bad along with the good, the bad of course being you will have to pay for amenities.

crap... i guess i could always elect to pay the 10 dollar resort fee... or i could go with Excalibur and their 15 dollar resort fee, since I have been to that gym before. my only reason is for double bookings for free play..

Yes, you will have to pay for the Gym.....why? Because we demand it. Same with Internet. As i said in the Resort Fee thread, even if you booked before March 1st, and plan on using the facilities, which in your case was optional, you are paying for the privilege of using their resort. The resort fee is not free.....you either pay for it before March 1st with an entrance fee or after March1st with the fee added to your bill between $10-$25....why? Because we demand it!!!
    This is for CET properties.

    Don't be so quick.

Since they now provide certain amenities to all their guests (via the resort fee), that means they may no longer worry about collecting the per item fee when you go to the workout room. You might get lucky and they only check to see that you are a guest?

    Maybe.

When I was grandfathered in to downtown's Plaza since my reservation was before the announcement, I still got all of the perks without additional charges. Parking/internet/coupon book/fitness center/bottled water were still provided, and that was a kick....

I heard they have some new workout classes.

One where you lift bags of cement up to a worker and the other where you get to chip up some old flooring.

    :evillaugh

Apparently according to their Facebook site when I asked, they do not have a workout room anymore.. They admitted their website is wrong, and yes, I would have to pay for it..
