    Hello!

I've never been lucky enough to get a hand pay in Vegas (here's to hoping!)

What I'd like to know is, as I am not a US/Canadian resident (living in Ireland), how does the process work for me? Will I lose some of my winnings on the spot as I fill in the form?

    Thanks for your help.

Being from Ireland, if you present Form W-8BEN (with a U.S. or foreign TIN) to claim treaty benefits you will not be subject to withholding on gambling winnings.

ask for a tin number to be issued to you if you win,i can remember filling a form out years ago and the tin number stays with you,
god tip is to keep a copy of a form w-something with you it will cut down on the processing time,
last week I had a handpay and the attendant withheld the tax, until I pointed out I was from the uk.
she promptly crossed out the tax amount and payed me the full payout.
    good luck
