    Hi,

I am headed to LV at the end of October with 15 guys for a hockey tournament. I was hoping to organize a poker tournament with the team. I have heard that some casino poker rooms will allow you to organize a private tournament (for a fee of course). Has anyone done this? Any idea of the cost? Can we set our buy-in amount?|

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of poker rooms will be more than happy to work with you on setting this up. If there is a poker room at the hotel you are staying at or one in particular you would like to play in, they best option is to call and ask to speak with the poker room manager. They can give you a lot of the details on setup, buy-ins, etc.

We used to have poker tournaments during some of the big message board meet ups a few years back. We've played at Binions, Flamingo, and Imperial Palace. All were very accommodating to our groups. I wasn't the one who got it setup, but I believe they will setup a private tourney similiar to their regular tourneys. I think our buy in was $50.

Thank SHOCK. This info helps a lot. I'll make some calls and organize something.

We had one at TI last year, they were very flexible in helping arrange it how we wanted
