So I have a little bit of a complicated situation on my hands. I have a room booked at Treasure Island for 3 nights for an upcoming guys trip. I expected the other guys in the group to book their own rooms, but apparently I'm going to have to take over as everyone's travel agent. I was able to get a really good deal on my room, but the rates have gone up since I booked mine. I can get a free night next door at the Mirage through MyVegas and get the next 2 nights at TI for about the same total price. I'd rather not do that and save my rewards for stuff for myself. Do you guys think that I could call TI and see if they would match the price I paid on the first room? I know that I have the option to do this obviously, but what are the chances they say yes?

I would call and ask. Even better, call their marketing dept (hosts) and see what they say. You won't know if you don't ask!

And maybe see if any other local places are good. Save YOUR comps for you. In the end, they are money in your pocket. I do give rooms and some meals to family/friends but I have lots of comps and none of them expect it. It is wrong for people to expect someone else to cover them though. Or to make their reservations, etc.
