Do you have a general strategy you follow when pressing bets? I have heard a couple different methods and was hoping to hear if anybody has a certain strategy they tend to go with. It seems like pressing a unit with a winning hand and reducing a unit on a losing hand seems to be pretty popular. I tend to try to double my bet twice in a row. example: $200 / $400 / $800. When I am getting runs it works really well but when choppy I end up losing pretty heavy.

    doubling is very aggressive.

with that type of strategy you're substantially increasing your variance. like you said, the wins are bigger, but the losses are more frequent.

I like to press about 20-30% normally after a win and sometimes up to 50% when I'm feeling aggressive.

I will press 100% sometimes, but that's generally when I'm either chasing or just really like the hand for some reason.

    I usually do 200-400-600-600 when I'm winning

If I lose, I double by bet. If I win, I double my bet. Not surprisingly 90% of my casino trips end with me having no money left. But that other 10% ends up pretty sweet.....

Many times I use a REGRESSION then progression system..With varying results. NOTHING will cure a choppy table so be careful hope aggressive ya choose to be.

    Yes. In blackjack.
When the remaining cards in the deck are "ten-rich", I increase my bets. When they are "ten-poor", I reduce my bet.

I mostly play craps and its very rare that I will parlay my bet.
After the first win on something like a place number I may press one unit. After the 5th hit I may press/parlay the bet.

On the hardway, after a number hits a 2nd time that amount will be definitely be doubled.

If it looks like it will be my final hand as my buy-in is almost gone and there won't be enough money for another turn, I may press a bet or two.
