My first trip to Vegas since 2009 willbe with my Son in law, his brother, his friend and his friend's father. Two of us close to 60 and the other three guys about 30.

I am the planner of the trip so I have made all the arrangements, after a lot of email and phone discussions among our group.

I will be flying in from Philly (first class - sweet!). )thers coming in from Jersy, Kansas City and Texas. For me, a trip starts when I settle into the seat on the plane with my first drink in my hand. I will load Vegas Vacation on my laptop and try to get in a nap. I should arrive early afternoon and cab it from the airport to our two bedroom timeshare at the Marriott Grand Chateau. I really like this place - we stayed there about 4 years ago. Great location right in the middle of the strip and - without a casino - gives you a little peace and quiet away from the craziness.

My goals for this trip is to play a lot of craps and visit as many different casinos as possible (including spending most of one day downtown). My gaming budget for the trip is $2500. I have started a collection of $1 chips and have about a dozen from PA and NJ casinos. I hope to pick up at least 20 more this trip.

My first morning in Vegas, I plan to hit the Aria spa for a workout, massage and royal shave. Get me over the jetlag.

This trip will also include a day excursion to Los Angeles to see the Phillies play the Dodgers Wednesday afternoon. (This seemed like a much better idea when I bought the tickets back in April). We are renting a Escalade for the trip which - I hope - will begin about 7 AM and have us back in Vegas by 10 PM (with a pit-stop in Primm along the way home)

We will also have a 12 hour marathon session of slot golf. I am not a slot player, but have enjoyed this activity in the past. For those who don''t know, this involves 5 guys, each with eighteen $10 bills, 18 casinos and a lot of drinking

Dinners will include Bartolatta, MonAmiGabi, the Public House at the Venetian and Binions Steakhouse.

I have no desire to see any of shows. Probably won't spent much pool time. The only other activity could be a a visit to MachineGunVegas one morning.

I'll do a trip report when I get back. Don't expect any photos.

SO I get the concept of slot golf, but how do you expect to get a lot of drinks with only $10 a casino? All VP at a bar with minimal tips? Looks like you go to Vegas right before me, see you there Thursday

If the only thing we did was the $10 per hole, you would be right. And we could fininsh the 18 holes in about 3 hours. But about ever third hole we pause and spend about an hour playing other things. For me its craps, for the others it is blackjack or roulette. You can usually get a couple of drinks in during a 45 minute session at craps if the service is decent. We have even been known to stop by a keno parlor - a great place to rest feet, play some very cheap games and get a few drinks.

So what is the line up? I think I will force my SO to do this with me, she will hate it because I have known her to only bring heels in the past. This will teach her not to!
