    Hello everyone,

My wife and I are booked at Aria for Sunday-Wednesday of Thanksgiving week. I booked on an offer that many of you probably got: $99 rooms, two comped buffets, and a "view upgrade."

We've stayed at Aria twice, each time booking a king room, and each time winding up with two queens. Once we got a nice high floor "city view" room, once we got a substandard lowest-floor "awful view" room. (Admittedly, this was for a weekend, not weekday, stay. Plus, the rooms were comped through MyVegas, so we were certainly not VIP customers.)

We love the vibe of the casino, the dining options, and the easy access to Cosmo and Bellagio. We also loved the first room we had (even if we didn't get the king bed). But I'm still remembering that not-good room we had the 2nd time.

My question: I just received an email from the Aria concierge with information about pre-arranged floral displays in your room. I'm thinking this might be a nice surprise for my wife, and I'm thinking it might be a good way to increase the odds that we'd actually get a king room. (Since obviously they'd have to set up the display before we got there.)

Does anyone have any experience with this?

It has been my experience in the past, anything ordered thru concierge desk will not be delivered until you have checked into your room. With that in mind, it won't necessarily guarantee the room you prefer but will certainly guarantee a nice surprise for your wife!
Have a great trip and best of luck.

Preordering flowers will not increase your chances of a better room.
Contacting the front desk or MLife( if that is where your offer is from) ahead of time may help.
Letting them know about your anniversary or wife's birthday that weekend(wink wink) will increase your chances.

Interesting. I suppose that makes sense (since flights can be delayed or canceled, and people sometimes probably just don't show up). So, is the idea that you set something up for, say, the SECOND day of your trip, leave the room, and come back that afternoon (or whenever) to see one of these lovely displays?

Thanks for the information! I'm not really looking to score an "upgrade," just a room with a king bed not on the lowest floor. I'll contact MLife, since that is indeed where the offer came from.

I would order for the first arrival day..... can enjoy longer during your stay. After you have checked in and have room key, I would recomend reminding them of your order and request delivery. I have seen delivery while unpacking and also upon returning to room. Both situations were nice surprise! If you can slip away from your wife after check-in, possibly contact the concierge desk and request delivery asap.

Not flowers but I ordered champagne to be delivered to friends who were staying at Aria for their anniversary. It was delivered shortly after they checked in.
