I have a long trip report to post with pictures. Does anyone know how to post the pics within the report rather than them all showing up at the end? I've seen some reports where people post the picture near the relevant text and it just flows better.

I've pm'd Sonya but have a small window of time to post it so thought someone might have a quick answer for me.

    Thanks!

Have to upload them to a storage location and then reference them in the post with img tags.

I upload my to a photo sharing site, photobucket. Then they give you a URL link that you can include in your TR. Click the little yellow box that says "insert image" and paste that URL into the box.

Thanks guys. I kinda thought it might have something to do with off site storage.

I'll just post the report in pieces then to keep the photos relevant.

Note that a basic photobucket account is free, so posting TR pics via photobucket just requires a bit more effort. It makes for better TR's imo.

The attachment option (paper clip) icon will allow you to upload into the vBulletin system.
You can then select from uploaded pictures which will appear in your image library.

The utlitly does scale the photos down, and to a smaller size for display within the thread.
This is how I do all my pictures.

If you dont want to go to all the effort, Tapatalk the mobile Vbulletin reader will let you upload directly from your smartphone into your message thread.

This is a great way to post pictures to a post, but there is one more thing you can do so that the picture shows up in yoour trip report where you want it instead of at the end of the post.

This is how to do it...

Upload a picture using the attachment paper clip as described above.
Scroll down below and you will see the "Attach Files" section.
Scroll over the link there and find the "attachmentid"

    (this example)
    http://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=5932&stc=1&d=1364167833

This is what it will look like...

    800px-WelcomeToVegasNite.jpg

...when you use this coding and insert the number after "attachmentid"
    Code:
     [ATTACH]5932.vB[/ATTACH]
I once saw an enhancement to the board that would help automate this, but I've had trouble finding it again to turn it on here. I'll keep looking to get it setup for us.
