Hey all will be arriving on memorial day for five nights.. I'm hearing the cell service in the rooms is pretty bad? I have verizon if anyone could shed light. On that note.. how fast is the in room wifi that I supposedly get for free with the resort fee?

Also.. how is vegas on memorial day? Any special things going on etc?

I've stayed at the Linq four times and have had zero issues with cell phone service in the roms. The in-room wifi also is very good quality.

With that said, the cellphone service in the hallways can be hit or miss and it's almost non-existent on the first floor near the elevators/cashier/breakfast place. But that's only a very small area that you're unlikely to spend more than a few seconds.

The issue is in the casino. Service was bad in the old IP casino and I don't know if they would have changed enough to the place to make it better. They would probably have to have the companies come in to boost reception like they would on a subway.

Decent in the room, terrible in the casino. I have AT&T. Wifi was fine.

I had to leave Hash House on the second floor, go outside, walk 50 yards, and only then could I get reception. The worst...

I have ATT. In the old IP I never could get service in the back of the casino but was fine in the rooms.

I've never stayed at the Linq, but I have played there many times. Unfortunately, I'm usually in a zone and am rarely on my phone in any of the casino's. I go to Vegas each year for Memorial Day weekend for the past 8 years. I usually stay from the Wednesday before through to Sunday/Monday and always on the strip. I can say it is crowded, rowdy, and crazy. I love it! Enjoy your trip

Canadian here using Roam Mobility, which uses T-mobile network. I was there last week, large parts of the casino had no service, room was there but weak, rideshare area in and out.

We stayed there last week. We have Verizon as a carrier and had good reception in the room. My husband and I both made calls and had no problem at all. I don't recall using my phone in the casino, so I can't speak to that.

I have Verizon, and it seems all throughout the Strip the service is weak, but works fine. No real difference at The Linq (room was on back 10th floor facing the wheel)

Cell service slows down the more people there are in a concentrated area. So if you are there on a very busy weekend and people are overloading the available bandwith, you'll notice a slowdown. You get Wifi with the resort fee though for two devices per day, so that should help...

Stayed in October and my service was fine w/the exception of a couple of spots around the casino (but I was walking through so didn't matter). I have Verizon as well.

I have t-mobile and throughout vegas, service is pretty good, have been at the tables in the linq and it was spotty, now several times at hash house a go go, might as well turn my phone off b/c it has zero service, my girl has at&t and she was able to make calls, it dropped once but worked...mine was useless there

USCellular I had no issues with phone reception at Linq.

Also, casino area has free wifi too (all the CET ones do). You simply log in with guest wifi. Sometimes it remembers you leave & come back, other times you have to log in again. I have my iPhone set up to autofill my contact info, so it only takes a few seconds when time to log in again. HH also has it's own free wifi.

Miracle Mile shops in PH is pretty much a dead zone for T-Mo, too.
