Hi-I've stayed at Mirage and Bellagio before-not real concerned about rooms, but I've read the Flamingo pool is nice-and obviously cheaper-any thoughts? Thank you. Love Vegas!

Its my third choice of those three. There is a lot about Flamingo that I dislike, but the pool is solid

In my opinion any place but the Flamingo. It's old, moldy and I never had any luck there. Rooms and pool were OK but not spectacular. Mirage is a much better choice.

Not sure if you are being serious or not... you might get called out for an attempt at trolling because you are pretty much comparing whats sleeping in a nice hotel, to a fancy hotel, to sleeping in a dumpster.

Flamingo pool is going to be busy and crowded and its nice and all that, but the hotel and rooms are a pretty far cry from what you'd see at Bellagio and Mirage. Bellagio's pool seems more quiet and relaxing, never been to the Mirage pool myself.

Your phrasing almost sounds like you're just asking a "which property is best" and the comparison is between a fresh, organic apple, a fresh, organic orange, and a over-ripe non-organic banana. Except the banana is far cheaper, and has a party pool.

To give you an honest opinion:

I've stayed at the Mirage (albeit it was like, 2010) and the pool is gorgeous, but generally tame (can be somewhat raucous but generally speaking lower key). Example.

The Flamingo pool is a party pool. Example.

I've never stayed at the Bellagio but have read similar comments as Auggie above; it's mellow. Example.

Depends what you're looking for. Personally, I'm 31 and like to party, so I'll be at the Flamingo in mid-June.

If pool is the main factor for your stay, And hoping for Flamingo pricing, I suggest Tropicana. The pool area makes you feel like you are at a Caribbean resort.

While it hasn't been my experience that Flamingo is moldy, it is by far the worst of the bunch.

If you want a nice pool and decent room for a good price, I agree with Breanna that Tropicana is a good option. Also Monte Carlo has a nice pool and sometimes decent prices, but their pool area can be shady if you're a sun lover.

But if it's a nice room you want and money isn't an issue, you'd be happier at Bellagio or Mirage for sure.

The Flamingo Pool is a MUST every year for the past three years.

I'll trade you my upcoming Flamingo room for a Bellagio room........deal? No?
    Oh well.

Get a GO mini suite, then you'll have a nice room to go along with a nice pool.

You are trying to compare completely different pool scenes. I would say bellagio since I like a quiet, relaxing pool. If you want a louder, more party type, flamingo. Mirage has a balance between them all with the main pools and bare (which I love).

I enjoy the quieter, relaxing atmosphere and if I want a more uptempo scene, i can still reserve there and it's never a problem. It's all in what you prefer.

waverunner, have you stayed in a GO Mini Suite yet?

I'm debating when I go trying a $20 sando to get upgraded from GO Strip view to that room, but I'm curious if it's worth trying?

I also need to make sure the couch folds out into a bed, which it looks like it does from the description but wasn't sure.

    POOLS

Flamingo: mostly young crowd, lots of alcohol, very loud music, straight up party scene, back corner has a very foul smell.

Bellagio: if you're looking for clean, classy, and a more relaxing vibe, not really a party scene.

Mirage: mixed to younger crowd, still some of the party vibe though not as many drunk 20 somethings as Flamingo, and music at a more "reasonable" level, sort of an in between.

My wife and I stayed at both Flamingo and Mirage last trip (late 20s). Wasn't a question for either of us, Mirage is our preference at this point for both the pool and the room. If I was single, early 20's, and looking to meet girls and party, Flamingo pool would be a no-brainer. The lower quality rooms didn't do it for my wife this time, though, and I wasn't a huge fan either. Back then I wouldn't have thought twice about it.

The OP asked about the pool.

To me, the Flamingo pool is the best on the strip, it gets the reputation of being really young and really drunk, but I've met really cool/fun/friendly people there, who are in their 30s and 40s. In addition, people always complain about the mold, my room has always been great. The casino is obviously old, but whatever, look at the location you're getting.

The Mirage pool is a close second, and I haven't been to the Bellagio pool. If you want a pool with zero fun, go to the Luxor. It will put you to sleep.

"Best" pool on the Strip will always come down to personal preference but I agree that a party pool like Flamingo's can be a great way to meet fun people (after all, you're in Las Vegas, right?). No one should get the wrong idea and think you have to be young and wasted to go there and have a good time. If you're outgoing at any age, looking to meet people to have fun with on your trip, and enjoy more of the party vibe then this is definitely one of the places to be.

But if loud music and a lot of drunk people splashing around and yelling is something that gets on your nerves, I would definitely choose a different location. It's all about what you like. I'll personally have a good time at any of the better pools in Vegas and adjust my mood appropriately, whether it means relaxing quietly getting a tan or drinking one too many and pushing my wife into the pool.

PS - My previous post was specifically about the pools at those hotels.

If you can get the Flamingo at a cheap rate, double book rooms. Gives you a chance to check out 2 properties

If I were going to pick a property just based on their pool, I'd choose MGM or Mandalay Bay

yeah Im having the same "issue"..trying to stay at a decent hotel that has a semi-crazy pool where even my buddies and I (late late 3os :)) can still fit in for a few hours. We did the Flamingo pool about 3 years ago, and it was awesome, didn't feel out of place.
Does anyone have any feedback on the Monte Carlo pool? is that crazy and loud, or just chill?

MC is big and really relaxed, they have a lazy river and an outdoor volleyball court. I rounded up five other people to play volleyball out there, and no one could return a serve because everyone was so drunk. They also have a wave pool, that was kinda fun.
