I am not too sure if there are any large properties that have poolside rooms or rooms where you can access the pool area easily. Our experiences have been long hikes from the room to the pool. The only one that come to mind and it is off strip would be The Tuscany on Flamingo road.

Riviera. And the property is pretty interchangeable with IP/Quad except for location.

Hard Rock has some very cool, though a bit pricy pool side rooms (villas) in both the HRH and Paradise Towers. The have a nice private patio area with fire-pit and TV. Walk outside the gate and you right at one of the pools. There are several different ones, this being an example

Note: As I'm sure most know, don't go here if you're looking for "tranquility"... it's the Hard Rock... there's music and it's loud both inside and out.

Saw a video on Youtube of one at the Cosmo near the Bamboo pool I believe. Looked very pricery as well, it also had a private pool or hot tub on the inside of a gate that led out to the main pool.

Cosmo has high end (read: $$$) rooms at both the Bamboo pool at the back of the property and at Marquee Dayclub pool.

Hooters has pool side rooms on their website.

    Poolside Bungalows
This 325 square foot room features either a king or two double beds. This room features a balcony overlooking the pool or a sliding door with access to the pool.

I believe I read that the renovations are complete and poolside rooms at Tropicana have re-opened; if that's the case it would be an affordable option.

Yes, the Tropicana has balcony rooms overlooking the pool area. I think to get to the pool you have to walk down the corridor and out of the building, but it is still pretty easy to navigate and a short distance.

You can see them here in the bacground

Just remembered, the Venetian has "terrazzo" poolside suites as well in the Venezia tower. I stayed in them a couple of times 5 or 6 years ago. I don't know if they've been renovated since...they were starting to get a bit worn back then but the poolside terrace was fantastic.
