I will be in Vegas next week for 1st time, was wondering which casinos give the best comps (already have room) for customers that only play poker. Thanks

From what my poker playing friends have told me, the comps for poker are so low across the board that it just doesn't matter (probably why they are always crashing in my free room!). Play wherever you think you will win the most money. Think of it this way, winning one pot will earn you more than you will ever get in an entire weekend of comps at the poker table. So play for the fish, not the comps

Strip standard is about $1/hr in comps for food and such. I've heard of poker players also getting casino rate on their rooms, and with lower end CET props you might even see the occasional weekday free room in their rate calendar.

TI comps at $2/hr and its a nice room, but often not very busy. If you play at off hours you might not be able to find a game there.

I've received offers after a trip for "reduced" poker room rates for a future trip.

Several casinos offer a poker room rate for 4 to 5 hours play per day. Check allvegaspoker for a list, but confirm directly with the poker room.

I am a poker only person and CET has been very good to me. When I login to the Total Rewards rate calendar, I can get pretty much any weekday free, as well as most Friday's at IP. I usually get charged $20-$30 for Saturday, but that is sometimes free also. And checking the current calendar, every single day in December is free up until the 27th.

As said before, your comps on this trip will be $1 per hour of play.

However, if you plan to go back to Vegas, sign up for a Total Rewards card, and playing poker at CET properties will get you a great room rate next time.

A few years ago I did the poker room rate at The Wynn. I had to play 6 hours a day and got a good rate for the Wynn. Also, they were cool with lunch comps.

I go to LV 2x/yr to play poker and make sports bets. I will usually do 1 trny per day and play 5-6 hours of NL at a number of properties, but mostly Aria, MGM and MB.

I'll usually put 2-3 hours of limit play in the morning at a CET properties, in addition to maybe $60 in slots with a morning coffee.

And for the last 3 years, all my weekend nights have been comped at Flamingo, Harrah's and Bally's (and IP, of course).

So don't expect big express comps or RFB at high end properties but minimal play can provide free rooms.

Don't forget there's a free drink comp! I love playing 2-4 limit at MGM and getting tanked! I always have a great time!

All of the poker rooms have different promotions throughout the year. You need to check with individual rooms to see what their promotion is for the month.

If you're going to be putting in serious hours, the best and only way to go is to stay there using their poker rates for the rooms.
Wynn and Venetian definitely have poker rates. They have games going almost all day and have good tournaments too.
For Venetian, if you play in certain tournaments, that will be enough to be counted as putting in the poker hours for the day.

If you make a rapport with some floor managers, they will give you free meal vouchers that you can use. Usually for about ten dollars.

I play almost exclusively at the Monte Carlo and get practically nothing. But, I mainly play tournaments. Sounds like I need change over to some CET properties.

If I'm not mistaken the Wynn will throw you a room $99 a night for 5 hours of play per day at the poker table. Aria also did $99 on weekends and $79 weekdays at one point. Call the poker rooms and ask about their poker room rate, that's about all you're gonna get as far as "comps" go lol. Just take 3K, play $5 video poker till it's gone and then you'll have 1 free night at the excalibur lmao - kidding :evillaugh

Also - a man at my table at Bellagio said you can get a free Buffet pass if you take a break from the table - might try that out.
