I have a few questions about PH.
We have never spent much time there, so is it hard to navigate to your room?
Is it fairly easy to get an upgrade paid or otherwise? I don't mind spending a little extra if I can get something nicer than just a partial view. For example, at Ballys , we can normally upgrade to a suite with a jetted tub and steam shower. Is there jetted tubs in a lower level suite that us low rollers can possibly get?
Lastly, how about check in lines and probability of earlier check in?
I'm bummed because it looks like we are going to stay at PH instead of Ballys. I've always felt at home there and not really sure what to expect.
    Any advice is appreciated.

PH is one of the easiest Casinos's to get back to your room. Their are 2 towers -North and South - each with a bank of elevators which are no more than 8 rooms (or something like that) away from the farthest room. You also do not need to go via the casino floor after check in, as check in is on the floor below.

If you've just booked a basic Hollywood Hip room, unless you are very lucky, you are unlikely to get more than a fountain view or possibly a resort room as a free upgrade. I've stayed in suites up to Panorama, and none of them have 'jetted tubs', although the tubs in even the cheapest rooms are very big.

Check in lines can be long depending on when you arrive. I've checked in early before, but depends on how busy they are.

PH is a great place to stay. I've not stayed at Bally's but PH is generally rated higher.

Two of my faves, I do almost all my gambling at PH, it is the first resort I stayed at in LV and I feel at home there. Its a younger, trendier crowd than Ballys and the music in the Casino is much louder. Its about equal on walking from Casino to room.

The rooms at PH are a bit nicer, the bathrooms are huge. The buffet is top five and its an easy walk out onto the strip.

Unless the hip and trendy vibe just totally turns you off, its a good place to stay.
