    Hey all,

Probably not back in Vegas till 2016 - but I can always dream and hope...right?

Anyway, the question is the difference between the pool at the Flamingo (adults pool) and the pool(s) at Caesars Palace.

One of the reasons that we keep returning to the Flamingo is because of the pool and the price of rooms. The rooms are fun (if you get the GO Room) and better than most budget rooms if you get the Fab room. (As far as food goes, we usually eat around and same with gambling - we are not 'do everything at you home resort' people).

I understand that rooms at Caesars will be more...but tell me about the pool.

We like a pool with music, fun atmosphere and sun - which is why we prefer the Flamingo over many others. For example: PH looks too bland, just a concrete slab (never went but watched a bunch of YouTube vids, Bally's was a place to read a book (not the atmosphere we were looking for), Cromwell during the day was pretty much empty (in July), Monte Carlo was fun with the wave pool (but too small and 'family friendly' feeling).

So tell me about the pool at Caesars!

    Thanks

Flamingo pool is rowdier with more top40 (Iggy Azalea) type of music. Both have great scenery. Caesars had more alternative (REM) type of music. The crowd is younger at Flamingo.

To me the Flamingo pool is one large, crowded bathtub. Coney Island.

Caesars pool area is (to me) more spread out, classier, easier to find a drink. Also cool water in summer and warm(isn) water in fall/winter. Can be a trifle shady in the shoulder seasons (the new Octavius tower blocks some sun).

The flamingo pool is a young fun 20/30 year olds mid tier property party atmosphere. Lots of beer and nice looking girls.

Caesars is a mix of people. There will be younger people reliving the Hangover, families, older couples, and people on business. I have even seen high end Asian rollers being escorted by a slew of bodyguards to a cabana. The chairs are padded, they give out free Popsicles, and service tends to be more on a five star level. That being said, they have no hot tubs and they built a party pool area right off the middle of the main pool area so you will hear the thumping bass of the party pool mixed in with the Rod Stewart music they play in the main pool. It tends to be annoying, especially in the middle rectangular pool. Also, go early because the new Octavious tower added lots of rooms to the hotel, but the pool area stayed the same size, so it will fill up fast and it can be really hard to find a chair.

I couldn't get my husband to stay at the Flamingo pool but I couldn't get him to leave the pool at Caesars. We always get loungers down my the Fortuna pool and have never had a problem finding them. I recently heard that they have one of their pools strictly for guests in the Augustus and Octavius towers. We just found the pools at Caesars to be much more relaxing and the chicken strips at the little restaurant there are good too!

We got a daybed the last time we were at the Garden of the Gods. Super attentive host and CWs, relaxing atmosphere and one can always go over to the Fortuna Pool to try to win enough to pay your tab. I'm 32 and definitely like the vibe of the Flamingo pool more on a personal level, but can definitely appreciate the relaxation and class that Caesars offers. YMMV.

Yup, the main perk for the flamingos is it's known for its pool and cheap hotel rooms. Caesars is known for expensive hotel rooms and the topless pool lol.

...of which you can take advantage by staying at other properties and paying the cover. Same deal either way.
