Quick questions I can't seem to answer from the Google...
    1. Hotel thoughts aside, which rooms are nicer, the ElCo Designer Suites or the Plaza Suites (top floor, so mane square feet, etc.).
    2. Where are the designer suites at ElCo located (namely, how's the view)?
    3. Apparently you have to call to get the Plaza Suites. Any idea the rate? Are they comp only?
    4. Anyone have any direct experience comparing the two?

I'm not a low-roller and certainly not afraid to spend the $ to get something nice. I understand both hotel's lesser offerings may not be the 4 Seasons. I'm trying to figure out which is legitimately the better room.

I'm traveling to LV for the first time without the Mrs in 10 years so I can get away with not being Center Strip (I like to gamble downtown). However, that doesn't mean I don't have champagne tastes too.

    Viva!

Your Champagne tastes might be better served by the Rush Tower at the Golden Nugget. They offer the nicest, most strip-like accomodations that I have been in downtown. As for your query, I can't speak for the suites at the Plaza, but the Design-a-Suite rooms at El Cortez are pretty nice. If you search Youtube it's easy to find videos of the rooms. They ran a design contest to redo the rooms, and the tv coverage will give you a pretty good idea what the rooms are like. They are corner rooms, anywhere from the second floor up to the 16th, I believe. They are located in the same tower and use the same elevator as the "Tower Rooms".

Suites at the Golden Gate and The D are both very nice. Only The D is a true suite with a separate bedroom. Has three tvs in the living room.
