I'm thinking of visiting Vegas in July (4-7). I haven't stayed downtown in a while so decided to check out the Plaza, their prices are pretty cheap for that weekend. Would be my first stay there since the renovation but was hoping someone could answer the following for me...Is the View room worth it? like do you actually get a nice view of Freemont street?

    Plaza

The Fremont View rooms would be very noisy. There is a stage across the street from the Plaza that plays very loud well into the night. I was in the South Tower and could still hear it. If you are going to be up late anyway, you probably won't care. My view from the South Tower was a nice view of the pool and the mountains. If you really want a view of Fremont, pay the extra. I'm never in my room that much to care about the view.

They consider a view of the strip a view room in the south tower as well as rooms that look over fremont st that could be nothing more than looking at the roof of the experience and not really seeing the blvd. A low room that can see under the canopy may be too loud as some have suggested. We took the room without the view and we'll see what's available at check in as far as an upgrade whether we pay of it or tip for it, so I guess you can call it a game time decision.

There are a ton of pictures of the views at trip advisor, so browse through them to get a feel.

This view would be about the best in my opinion.

This is also considered a 'view' room.

If noise is an issue then go with a Vegas view room. I actually moved out of the Plaza and into the 4Q to get away from the band at the end of Fremont.

Nicky, thanks for posting the pics! I went ahead and booked our room. I got the regular deluxe room. Agreed with what you said, figured when we get there could see whats available and if worth it then make a decision then.

Thanks everyone for your input!

    I stayed in both.

They are the same rooms but one looks out over fremont street. the one I had had a balconey which was neat.

It was insanely loud though with the music from fremont street.

The non view room looked towrds the strip. same layout and furniture but quieter.
