Do you regularly play craps with a partner... whether it's your SO or just a buddy? If so, do you use any strategy to maximize your time at the table and possibly minimize losses?

Wifey might be up for trying craps for the first time on our next visit...not looking to bring the house down obviously, just not interested in duplicating bets.

If my wife plays with me, she will be the don't pass and I'll bet the don't come. Seems to work well.

My wife and I play craps together often. Sometimes at different tables (she has her favorite spot as do I) sometimes at the same table. We rarely play side by side and we always play our own way. She has a propensity to roll plenty of hard ways so I load them up but can never get her to do the same.

I play with me buddy at times, but prefer to play alone so I can calculate my pressures and keep sober.

My wife plays with me, she doesn't like to play on her own (unless its bubble craps). She'll stand by me and then only bet passline when its her turn to roll, and I'll just bet on her. Its as if one person were playing in terms of risk, otherwise we'd just be playing the same thing. We don't do this at a full table so she isn't taking up someone's place, but at a quiet table its a lot of fun.

Now if my buddies and I are playing, we just play our own way.

My husband & I both play, always side by side. I have my bankroll & he has his. He bets the hardways, I press the place bets. Small differences but we always seem to walk away within $100 of each other.

Same here with me and the gf. We will play the table together but with own bankrolls letting the other play how they want. She likes the hard ways and c&e while I do more come bets and buy of 4 and 10.

I play with a buddy. He plays his game and I play mine. No combined strategy.

Craps is always more fun for me with a friend.

I usually play alone. On a hot table everyone becomes your friend. When I do play with a buddy we each play our own game. Usually there is a lot of overlap.

Wish I knew someone who liked to play craps. Couldn't get any of my friends to play with me during a group trip in October... But, like vegasvic said, everyone becomes friends on a hot table!

I'll play with a friend, but usually only if we both buy in at the same time. We have a rule that if one of us is on a streak, and the other tries to join, he can be waved off so as to not disrupt the streak.

I'm going with 14 people in June. A couple of them have played craps a little bit but most have never played. I'm going to get 10 of them at least on a table together. Probably somewhere like the Gold Coast on a week day morning, $5 and usually an empty table. Over the next 4 months I'm giving lessons, I have a large felt layout. Then for those that live near me maybe a trip or two to the local Indian casino to get a taste of it. No matter how much you teach nothing is the same as the real deal. When my son was learning fractions in grade school I pulled out the craps layout and we went over place betting and the payouts. Now he recently turned 21 so he can actually play the game. When I was little I didn't use flash cards to learn how to add, I played blackjack (true) :)

I spent a 5 day trip to Vegas playing craps with a friend who had never played. I told him I had a method I followed strictly and would show him if he wanted. He said he would so away we went. My method is really simple except when a long hand shows and I begin to press up.
Hard to do with a novice on a fast paced table and my friend just never could get the hang of it so to speak. I learned gambling is not a team sport!
