Is there a Golf club somewhere in vegas where you can do a round of golf without having a golf ability license?

    Thanks

You don't need any kind of license, but there are private clubs and public clubs.

If you're asking which courses are best for someone with limited ability... uh.. yeah, wait for Ken2V. :)

Golf when it's not busy and let faster players play through(go ahead of you), and you should be fine. Everyone has to learn sometime.

Also, dont take more than 1 practice swing, dont mark your ball unless you have to, and dont spend more time than necessary lining up your putts - you're not a pro. If both of you are on opposite sides of the fairway you can both hit at the same time.

This is America, my friend, you can be most anything you want to be without any ability whatsoever!! lol If you don't believe me, just look to what we call a lot of entertainment, and of course that place called ... well, I can't name the actual geographic area because of the rules but suffice to say it's a place with a lot of big white buildings and a lot of hot air.

If you are looking for a quicker play on a shorter course, try Durango Hills. If you want to experience losing balls in the American desert, consider Primm Valley's Desert Course 40 miles south of Vegas. If you want to play what I consider the best attainable (meaning it doesn't cost 500 bucks like Shadow Creek) course in the area, with breathtaking vistas and plenty of desert-y stuff, and lesser crowds, drive the 50 minutes north of town to Coyote Springs.

I'm not going to assume because you asked about the Euro-popular ability test that you are a beginner; you might just be thinking we have such things here and you don't have one. But since it's on the table, what is your skill level? But regardless your ability, trust me (us) when we say you will see every level of ability on most every golf course in America. As some have noted, just don't dally and you'll be fine.

Thank you all very much for your answers. indeed i'm not from the states but from europe where you need a freaking license if you want to go to the toilet lol..
Ken, thanks very much for your reccomendations. To answer your questions about skill its simple, no skills just looking for a break from the strip, and golf seemed a lot of fun.

As an Assistant Pro once told me, if you shoot in the low 100's, you are still better than half of the people who attempt to play.

There are many courses in Vegas you can play. We measure golf courses in yards so you'll have to convert to meters if you want more accuracy.

Then I'm going to recommend Las Vegas National or Angel Park. LVN is strip-near, old school parkland style not desert. It gets all manner of play and pace can be excruciating which means everyone is slow. That's not a license to be slow and you still need to be courteous and all that, but there's just an expectation out there it's not going to happen in four hours.

Angel Park is out in Summerlin, and all equal if you have transportation I'd go that route. The courses are fun and on the other side of the coin you get some great views of the mountains and the valley. Plus there are two casinos right across the street. If you and your mates are so inclined for a golf experience but perhaps not a full on round on a full course, then play the putting course at Angel Park and then the par-3 course.

Yep, the average avid recreational golf, playing by the rules from ability-appropriate tees, struggles to break 100.

Oh I make it within a 100. I have played before. Actually my first job wa on a golf course in The Netherlands. Picking up the balls from the driving range in a little armoured cart. Hilarious and very entertaining when you are 15 yrs old boy... :)

Drugs are personal. Slow golfers are deleterious to all of mankind.

Isn't it rather standard across Europe that you can't access a full course until you've proven up some understanding of the rules, etiquette and basic proficiency?

Just curious, what rules? Golf is a game of honor, we all play by our own rules...dont we?

i remember years ago playing with a single who got put with us(doesnt happen anymore cause golf is dying), I was on the edge of the green and putted first, striking the pin(which was not removed), the guy said "that's a 2 stroke penalty", we laughed and said "not today".
