I'm going to Vegas in two weeks and staying at PH. I reserved a cabana at their 21+ ages pool. How is the crowd at this pool? Is it a lively pool or more laid back? Thanks

I stayed there a few years ago. It's lively, loud music. The water is just above freezing.

I agree. LOUD to the point that we had to leave after a short time.

Like others have said, it's lively with loud music. If you enjoy gambling at PH at night, you'll probably enjoy the pool. It gets a bad rap at times because the pool itself is pretty bland, but I've always enjoyed the vibe out there. Being up on the 6th floor affords you a great view of the Eiffel Tower, Cosmo, and City Center as well.

    Loud, but not really lively.
Our room usually overlooks the pool and usually its just people just hanging out.

I was there three years ago and sorry to report our pool experiences was not the best to say it nicely. First, we all (4) were searched throughly for prohibited pool items i.e. Food, booze , glass bottles, etc. and to make it worse every time we came back if we went to our room for something ( the kid couldn't remember our faces after a half hour). Second, we too were subject to the loud music and the only open places available that day were right in front of the huge speakers blasting out music. We all had miserable headaches that whole evening. The next day we went down to the pool way early to get spots far away from the speakers. It was bearable but it was still very loud.

Echoing what everyone else has said, pool area music is ridiculously loud. I was there in September and the pool experience was just bad.

When I was there a few years ago the water was very cold (as reported). And the big problem was not just that the music was loud, it was made unbearable because the speakers were terrible. Like a cheap car stereo cranked all the way up.

I know they are dealing w an old pool, but it was not good.

Hmm, replies on this thread seem discouraging. We're staying at the Planet Hollywood next month. Maybe I'll just use my VIP Access Pass and we'll go hang out at the Caesars pool instead.

You can always just go next door to the Paris pool too. That area is nice, and pretty quiet. Their beverage service is questionable tho...

That might be worth a try. I've never used the Paris pool. We just really liked the Caesars pool last summer because it was so beautiful plus the temple pool had those great fountains to duck under in the hot Vegas summer sun. Thanks for the suggestion.

Paris pool is way larger with lots of lounges and some shade. Planet Hollywood is a large cement deck separating two small pools, very strange. We too have a VIP pass and tried Cosmo (quiet and too pink) on Memorial Day and Linq and Rio too. Linq was fun crowd, comfy chairs and good experience. Rio was great too (but not near PH)! Heard good things about Bally's pool, maybe we'll try it at Labor Day.

Oops! Cromwell, not Cosmo! I'd blame spell check, but I'm pretty sure it's my mistake!

As someone else said, if you like the casino vibe you should like the pool vibe. If you're looking to just decompress and relax, probably not your best option.

Perhaps showing my age a bit now, but when we went a couple years ago, I looked at the pool, who was in it and what they were doing and quickly gave it a pass:)

Not sure how much Chlorine they dump in those things but these pools can't be healthy on so many levels.
