I've had the best luck at the high limit room there! Made a quick $500 hit and run a couple of times

Okay - so i have booked a King bed at Planet Hollywood in a Hip Room with Strip View. It is comped for four nights plus I get $75 food credit. However now I am wondering if I made the right decision. My other choices were (all of these are comped for all four nights):
Ultra Hip Room at PHo with NO food credit and 2 double beds
Go Room at Flamingo with Food Credit and King Bed
Linq Deluxe Room with Food Credit and King Bed

Sorry to be a pest but please help :)

It depends on if you need the food credit. The remodeled rooms (Ultra Hip) are supposed to be really nice. Don't worry about the Flamingo but the Linq would be my 3rd choice. The Ultra to me would be my first choice because I reeally am not to much into the view....they are all nice.............Rick

Did they just redo the rooms and make the Windows bigger in the hip rooms to make them ultra hip?

They renovated but I'm not sure if they enlarged the windows. It's a lot brighter because they painted the rooms white. Even the hallways are bright now. These rooms also have a mini fridge and a coffee maker with free coffee.

And I'd rather walk to Paris and Bally's then Harrah's. Easy to walk up to the corner and cross to Aria or Cosmo. Really, a nice location.

PH is my favorite place to gamble for some odd reason, but after a few stays there I have grown to hate the Hip rooms

I don't like the old Hip rooms either very much but we usually stay in a Strip Suite. We used to stay in the Augustus tower at Caesars but we were always at PH gambling so we now stay there. Maybe try the Ultra Hio, you may like that better.

I would have taken the Go room in a heartbeat over a Hip Room if we were simply talking about rooms. And I would still take the Go room over the Hip room if we are including casinos AND pool is a factor. The pool at PH aint great. If pool is not a factor then PH has a cooler casino than Flamingo but straight up on rooms I am struggling to understand what the appeal of a Hip room is over a Go room. I actually cancelled a reservation in July at Flamingo for a Go Mini Suite to take a Resort Room at PH so it's not like I have blind loyalty to Flamingo.

The casino is the room for me. Yes, I can walk down the street easily enough, and when I want to go gamble somewhere else I gamble somewhere else. but I want to stay at the place where I'm going to be doing the most gambling, and that's why I'll take PH every time

For what it's worth, I liked the Flamingo room-the elevators are a drag. Bed was much more comfortable than Bally's. Room was fine

I think you made the right choice.

But there are pros & cons to each one that the choice is not definitive.

Have stayed in all 3. Yes, GO room is nicest, but hallway cleanliness issues stopped us from ever booking Flamingo again. (multiple issues for days...blech...even DH says NO to Flamingo--unless NO other property is offering a comp)
Ballys & LINQ are our go to hotels these days--we have liked the huge rooms & central location of Ballys but we have been leaning more towards LINQ--rooms are compact but redone (think IKEA) as is casino & we really like the bartenders at the VP bar plus OSheas (and we like the proximity to where we like to play poker best)

To the poster who was wondering if you should change a King SUITE at LINQ for Hip room at PH--NO. The suite will be much nicer. Keep your LINQ reservation.
