    My Trip Report

These are notes the notes of my trip I wrote in my phone during downtimes or while walking. You know you're not as entertaining as NateDogg when you are actually in Vegas and still prefer to live vicariously through his report, but here it goes anyway. Landed at 4 luggage by*4:15 met*cousin and husband who got in the night before.*Drove and self parked at Planet Hollywood. Long walk to check in through miracle mile. Was offered an upgrade to resort view but no extra bed for cousin so settled for a 2 queen room facing the mountains.*

Wanted to find a nice happy hour for cheap apps and drinks. Settled on Palms restaurant in Ceasars. Half price Prime Bites, beer, wine, and spirits. Ordered the steak sliders, lobster sliders, and lobster and bacon fondue. *2 Jim Beam & Cokes for me and 2 glasses of Moscato for the wife $56 w/ tip. Caught the tail end of the Nuggets losing in triple OT to break a 9 game winning streak put me down a little.

Went back to PHo dropped $20 in a slot enjoyed a crown & coke and lost $20. Casino feels a little dead on a*Sunday night at 7:30. Pleasure pit was very disappointing, no dancers on stage.*

Played roulette at Planet Hollywood for about three hours down $50. I bet 1 unit on 10 numbers each spin if I'm up and hit keep adding a unit until I miss The rest of the group decided to hit pure nightclub before heading to the bank, I headed to Bellagio for some poker.*

I was 2nd on the list for the only $4-8 game going. Passed the time on VP Bought in*for $100 bonus poker VideoPoker cashed out $135. Name was called, playing in a ridiculously tight for a hold 'em game finished down $185.

Walked back to pho played $40 through the hangover slot, a few bonuses but walked away with nothing.*Jumped on a Pai Gow table waiting for the wife to finish at the club. Finished at $15 pai gow table up seven dollars.*

Woke up about*7:30*showered waited for the rest of the group to get out of bed. Hit Planet Dailies for $6.99 steak and egg breakfast. Steak was chewy but eggs, potatoes and toast were all delicious.*

My cousin's husband had a $25 match play for new identity club members. Dropped the girls off at the spa and we walked over to Cosmo. He took the match play to roulette where a a guy was betting greens on numbers. It was Hank Baskett other wise known as Mr. Kendra Wilkinson former Playboy Playmate. I asked "do you play for the Eagles" he kind of just shrugged me off. *He had a backpack full of money and a blinged out watch. Looked him up on Wikipedia and confirmed my suspicion. Anyways, for the match play, he bet red and it came up black. Off to take advantage of the $100 loss rebate.*

I played Double Bonus lost $60 rather quickly.*Wanted to play some cheap craps so we walked to Ballys for some $5 craps. $230 later make the felted walk of shame

Girls got back from the spa got ready. Checked in for our flight tomorrow got A58. Went down and had Earl of Sandwich. Did one spin of roulette placing $5 bets for my assistant on 10 numbers. She hit quickly turning $50 into $175. Nice to at least experience a winning bet since I've almost forgot what it feels like even though it doesn't fatten my wallet any.*

Not sure what to do I said why don't we walk to the Venetian. Ever since Venetian pulled their comp offers I've boycotted playing there on principle but we still decided to walk that way. Stopped off at sugar factory to pick up some treats for the kids.*

Kept heading north to see the Wynn and then headed back on the other side of the strip. Stopped at tix 4*tonight*and grabbed tix to Sin City Comedy. Watched a fountain show at Bellagio then went up to the room to attempt a nap. Kyle was straggling and unfortunately found out they were giving away free tix for the show we had just spend $25/ea on. After not sleeping took a nice long hot shower. Went to in n out 3x3 animal style and chocolate shake. Stopped by the gas for red bull to pregame before the show.*

Valeted the car went up to the room and poured a couple strong red bull/vodkas and went to wait in line. Let into the showroom, small, but got 3rd row dead center. Couldn't tell you the names of the comedians but they were all pretty decent. Invariably it seems like there is always one 50+ yr old drunk lady that is trying to be part of the show. Unfortunately the headliner engaged and started asking her questions and it was painful to listen to them banter for a good five minutes. The same thing happened when I went to Brad Garret's comedy club in October.*

After the show we went over to Cosmo. Got the wife signed up for Identity card and used a $25 match play on a hand of BJ. We won and then found a slot to try the $100 loss promo. She got up $20 and wanted to take the money and run. She doesn't really like gambling and was happy to book a small win. Honestly at this point I was happy to walk away from anything with more than I started with.*

Went back to PHo to play a little roulette. I bought in for $100 and I gave my wife $60. 6 spins later covering 10 numbers each spin she didn't hit a single time and was felted. I had a couple small hits and still lost $20. Down $80. Went over to a craps table watched a shooter betting black chips have a monster roll. I eventually couldn't stand watching everybody killing it with pressed up bets and jumped in but it was too late. Spread $52 across hit one number before he sevened out. Hoping the table would stay hot played on but I must be a cooler this trip and walked away down $130.*

That as they say is that, budget was wiped out for the trip and didn't want to tap into my march madness budget. While I play for the entertainment of it I didn't get nearly the amount of play I usually get for my money. Nor do I usually ever lose every dollar I bring to gamble with so this trip hurt. Had the room booked through the following night even though we were flying out today so we didn't have to leave the room by 11. Grabbed some Starbucks and a couple breakfast sandwiches, walked around the Miracle Mile Shops before cabbing it to the airport. Cousin and husband had much earlier flights.

Even after a losing trip can't wait to go back for March Madness with my best friend from college. I'll be coming in the 20th staying at the Monte Carlo for 4 nights.

I love the opening line about nate's report - very clever.

No doubt the March trip will bring a change of fortune !

    6.99 steak and eggs

Is the 6.99 steak and eggs breakfast on the menu at Planet Dailies? Or is it a secret special? I don't recall seeing it though I've eaten breakfast there many times....
Nice report, downer on the gambling, some trips seem to be that way.

    Thanks!

There was a sign about 3'x2 right out at the entrance. You could get steak & eggs, all you can eat pancakes, and two other less memorable options. The waitress didn't mention them before we ordered.

Cool, thanks! I'll remember to ask about it in April. 6.99 is so much more reasonable than a 14 dollar omelette!

I vaguely do remember something about all you can eat pancakes, and I'm sure I totally blocked out the rest.
