We are headed to Vegas in March arriving about 8 AM on a Thursday. Renting a car and will spend time both downtown and on the strip.

Thinking about starting with Peppermill for breakfast after we get the car and Chicago Joes for dinner that first day.

Have never been to either place.

    Comments or suggestions?????

    Thanks!

Can't speak to Chicago Joe's, but I would put in an enthusiastic vote for Peppermill. Arrive hungry, as the portions are huge. Good food, really interesting atmosphere, reasonable prices. Love that place.

LOVE Chicago Joe's!!! It's a little tough to spot, buried in the area between Charleston and downtown, but it's worth it. Pretty small joint, but GREAT food!!! I've eaten there many times for lunch, but never dinner. Great "power" lunch spot... lotta "movers and shakers" eat there.

I recommend Chicago Joes as well. I strongly recommend reservations if you are going though as restaurant is small and can fill up easy

Try Blueberry Hill and Hushpuppies. Both are excellent choices!

Peppermill is a place everyone should go to at least once, whether you're eating there or just want a drink. Very unique.

Peppermill is a must do every trip for breakfast. Call ahead and reserve a table, it gets busy.

Never had Peppermill for breakfast (always lunch, dinner, late night) or Chicago Joe's for Dinner (always lunch), but I highly recommend both.

Loved the Chicken Parmigiana as well as their pasta w/ meat sauce at Joe's. Great food at good prices. Peppermill has a very large menu and offers very large serving sizes.

You should enjoy both - sounds like a great food day in Vegas!!!

It's on the strip, just beyond Riviera. Same side of the road.

Just hearing the name Peppermill makes me hungry. Great food and atmosphere. HUGE portions. Service can be spotty, but I can easily overlook that.
