Does anyone know if the Fremont still has the OLDER Pic em Poker machines. For a number of years they had 5 quarter machines sitting between the bar and tables. Also enjoyed playing
Let it Ride on them, Could not find any of them last year. Two years ago they still had 2 left sitting back by the Keno machines and the poker machines that still pay out coins. These machines also paid out coins. I believe they were "full pay machines" Wife hit the Royal 2 years ago which is no easy task on Pick em. Every time we asked where they were last year, we were directed to the Pick a Pair machines which are also by the keno. Don't believe these are full pay. Does anyone know if they are? Do know their not as much fun , at least for us. Thanks.

I don't think they have any pick 'em units left made by Bally (which they call Pick'em) which often had Let it Ride on them like you described. Every unit I've seen at Fremont lately are IGT units, which are technically called "Pick-A-Pair" probably due to copyright, but I still refer to them as "Pick 'em".

VPFree2 hints that they got rid of them sometime in the past year...

    From:
    http://www.vpfree2.com/casino/fremont-hotel-and-casino/comments

about 1 year ago VP Removed MIA: (2) 25¢ : 99.95% PKM non-TITO uprights in front of keno lounge under stairs to mezzanine

The locations of the current IGT games can be found here:

And they are definitely "full pay". It's the main reason I go to Fremont!

Here is the quad I hit last Sept. (near keno lounge I think)...the paytable shown in the picture is "full pay" = 99.95%.

I played that machine in February. It's still there.

Thank's Triglomane, the picture was VERY helpful. Looking at the pay table, I can see that the Pick A Pair machines are full pay. 99.95% by my calculations. Nice hit. Wish I had a picture of my wife's Royal Flush to share, but I was not with her at the time. She was so excited she did not tip the girl that hand paid her along with filling out the IRS info. We did go and find her after I came back to check on my wife and took care of that tip. Right or wrong we do that on a hand pay. I'll show your picture to my wife. Guess it's time to move on and give the Pick A Pair playing time. Will hit them late next month on our next trip.

Triglomane. Something I don't understand as I look back on your picture. Win only shows 237 with a bet of 5 coins. Should show 600 coins. What am I missing here???

I was impatient and took the picture while it was counting up. If you look at the credit number the last digit a little blurry at it hasn't fully changed from a one to two. It counted up all 600 quarters eventually.

I am confused at that pay table.... I will need to check out this variation. [STRIKE] Do you know if Videopoker.com has it?[/STRIKE] Nevermind I found it on Frugal VP... and now I am confused!

I enjoyed treasure chest machines at Fremont, Full pay...did not get any quads though...

Logical explanation, thanks. You have a good camera on that phone to catch all the numbers with almost no apparent motion. I hope to get to try this out with my phone during April visit.

Go to vpfree2 web site. Arguably the best video poker site out there. Check out the pay tables for 99.95% Pick Em Poker and Pick A Pair. Don't forget to multiply win table by 5 coins.

I just got back from a week downtown where I tried some of the Pick A Pair at the Fremont. Be warned that there are two machines that have the game at short pay (500 for 4OAK, and I think the SF is shorted as well). If you are walking from the main casino area towards the Keno lounge where the Pick A Pair are located, the short pay machines I saw were located to the right of the four full pay machines that face the Keno lounge.

Thanks for the heads up. FP should be 600 for 4OAK and not 500. If SP then straight flush will be shorted too. Most likely 1000 rather than 1199 with max bet. I plan on being there this Wednesday, so I'll check them all out.

Yep I noticed that too, I think those units were the 98.74% version. The straight is also shorted to 10 for 1.

Also I was at Fremont Sunday night close to 11pm looking to play. But they were more like standing around, and then I asked if they were going to play. They said no, but asked me if these were where the full pay pickem was and I said yes.

Did I bump into TKO randomly? I was wearing a matching Quebec Nordiques hat and shirt.
