Best I phone App for Vegas information?
Chase bank app? hehe
Seriously though, I'd love to hear what others think. I've found that most of the official casino apps are kinda weak on features. I'd love to hear if others find them useful.
To me the most usefull app just about anywhere is Yelp. For Vegas in particular I love to use it to find places to eat nearby and reviews on just about anything I want to do in Vegas. I almost always consult it before trying some resturaunt, hotel or show I'm unfamiliar with.
There is also a paid app that I've found some usefull information from at times particularly for lesser known attractions. It doesn't have a ton of reviews for each thing though so I'm still debating its value. It's called "Viva Vegas". What I like about it is that it can be faster than navigating Yelp since much of the info is pre-downloaded and doesn't have to hit the internet everytime you look something up.
Vegas Mate. Plus all of the MLife properties have their own individual apps - handy becuase they have maps, menus etc.
Thanks! If you have read my posts before you will recall that I am a Disney World expert but know very little about Vegas. I find it very difficult to keep up with the changes that seem to happen daily in Vegas, this is why an app for me is a must. I purchased an Unofficial Guide Book to Las Vegas (the bible for Disney people) and found it lacked EVERYTHING!!! So I would like something that I could continue to read and carry with me everywhere.
Vegas Mate, its invaluable and its updated weekly. Lots of features, take some time and really play around with it.
Tapatalk so you can easily access this board on your phone.
I've used Las Vegas City Guide by Tripadvisor.
I also enjoy Vegas Indoor Maps, n it is free. How useful it is is questionable but fun to see layouts and gets me fired up for next visit
Vegas Mate for sure. Info on every property, their restaurants, bars, shows, etc. My favorite feature is the "My Trips". I've added tons of things that we might want to do, and for some I have alerts set. So for example, we are staying at Mirage one night, and I found info on Rhumbar's HH, so I added it to My Trip, and it will remind me 30 minutes ahead of time that HH is starting at Rhumbar.
It's a great, dynamic app.
I just downloaded Vegas Mate and it's pretty cool with lots of good Info. It even tells you when restaraunts are opened and closed which will be a great help when I'm there.
You can also view menus for a good number of the restaurants too.
If you're staying at a CET property Total Vegas is good. I used it on my last trip to get direct phone numbers for restaurant reservations. You just touch the link to call.
When in Vegas, I probably use the Open Table app for dinner reservations more than any other.
If I'm planning a trip, the Total Rewards and mLife apps both are useful. Vegas Mate is also good for this.
When I'm home and just have the itch, I've been known to obsessively check the jackpot list on the mLife app. (Looks like there are high limit players in the slot room tonight at the Bellagio and the Beau, for example.)
I used travel Vegas it is pretty good!
Another vote for Vegas Mate. Hunter's done a great job with this. Check it every day for Vegas news and his hotel and restaurant listings are great. I like that you can link to menus as well.
Alao the vegas casino map app is good. I checked it once when i got lost in caesars lol.
Ok, I've got to jump in for our vegas app, Vegas Party Stops. It's an app dedicated to partying and having fun in Las Vegas. Each "party stop" (i.e. resorts and stops on the strip) has a overview, brief history, fun facts and tidbits, must-do things, etc. In addition, each "party stops" has a Yelp link, Facebook wall link and Twitter link so you can quickly find out information on that stops. Bars, attractions, drinks are in there. As far as partying, it has a happy hours list as well and we just added (in next week) a tweeter link that follows current drink special and happy hour happening at that time. Finally, in the next few weeks, we will also have exclusive drink offers just for users of the app. The app is available for iPhone and Android. I hope you enjoy it.
Some other apps I have that you might want to try.
"Vegas indoor Maps" which has the maps of the casinos.
"Viva Vegas" info similar to Vegas Mate.
"Travel Vegas" has links to discounts, plus to shows, hotels, dining nightlife, etc.
They somewhat overlap but you might like one format over others. I forgot which are free but none were more than 2.95. I have them on iPhone.
I swear I used to have Vegas Mate, but might have deleted it for space. Now I can't find it. Is it not on Android?
I thought I had it on my phone but maybe I had it on my ipod....
Sadly, no android version. Only iOS.
I searched for "Vegas Mate" and it returns only a single app and it appears to be an app to find a mate while in Vegas. If I weren't married it would be a great app or if my wife was open to experimenting.
