We are booked in a comped Jubilee King at Bally's for three nights later this month. From what I gathered here, the room is a nice standard room, but we'll want to go elsewhere for a fun casino floor experience - which is fine by us, it's a short walk to a lot of places from Bally's.

I like to keep looking at the CET booking pages to see what else may pop up. Recently, a promotion for a Resort Vista Room at Planet Hollywood popped up. It's not comped and around $100/night + RF.

My question is simple - is the Resort Vista Room a good "upgrade" from the Jubilee Room to warrant the out of pocket? My inclination says no, but I always like to defer to those who may have stayed in both.

Sorry for not knowing, but have you been to Vegas before? Bally's is quite nice if a bit "old" and subdued. PH is chaotic. I've never stayed at PH but stayed at Bally's several times. You're only going for 3 nights so personally, I'd either stay at Bally's for free or pay the $300+ extra for a nice room at Caesars.

10th or so trip to Vegas. Stayed at hard rock, harrahs, Linq, Caesars, Ballys (suite, not jubilee) and the old IP.

Last time we stayed at Caesars it was in the Augustus tower overlooking bellagio...didn't think the room was that great.

    Never stayed at PH.

Stick with your gut. Jubilee Rooms are just fine - probably nicer than any room I've stayed at PH as they are truly in need of a remodel in much of that place. I truthfully don't even know if I would switch right now if they were both comped.

Can't say much about the Resort Vista as I've only stayed in the Hip and Resort rooms at PH. But comparing those to the Jubilee rooms at Bally's, I would go with Bally's. The lighting is much better in the Bally's room and feels/looks cleaner.

However, I do prefer the PH casino. It is very lively and I prefer it over the Bally's floor.

Parking at PH though.. the walk from the self park lot to the casino floor is annoying. I always need to valet when I go there now, even just for a quick stop.

I've stayed in both kinds of rooms. The resort Vista is nice enough but I would not pay for it if I had a Jubilee room comped. Jubilee rooms are very nicely updated and spacious. Unless having a soaking tub is an absolute must for you (Resort Vista has one, Jubilee rooms are shower only), there is no reason to change, IMO.

Spend a little time at Sully's bar at Bally's, the bartenders are super nice (presuming you tip decently and aren't a jerk :Þ )

Thank you, based on this and other replies, we'll keep our room at Ballys and we'll check out Sully's - good tipper, no jerk. :)
