At the Caliente Sports Books in Tijuana (and throughout Mexico) they accept parlay wagers on horse races. You can even mix race tracks. My question is are there any sports books in Vegas that also allow parlay wagering on the horses?

Wouldnt a parlay on horse racing be the Daily Double, pick 3,4,5,6 etc..??
They used to have a multi track pick 5, called the Magna 5, dont think its around anymore.
equibase.com will give you results and you can see the payoffs for the pick 3,4,5,6 etc...

The parlay wager I have described allows you to pick horses that are not necessarily in consecutive races and even mix tracks. It is a powerful bet!

For example, you could bet a $5 across-the-board parlay using Horse A in the first race at Belmont Park to Horse B in the 4th race at Hollywood Park to Horse C in the 2nd race at Los Alamitos. Total cost of the bet is $15. If all three horses win, the payoffs can be quite large. And even if you are only successful on the place or show portions of your bet, you won't be dissapointed.

While they "cover" your bet at the Caliente Sports Book in TJ, I don't believe the wager is part of the betting pools at the respective tracks.

    Parlay wagering

I'm a long time horse player. The last time I remember parlays in Vegas was when the casinos backed the bets. It had good and bad points. If you wanted a ten dollar exacta box they would need a supervisors approval and most of the time they would give you a two dollar bet With the birth of national simulcasting and direct betting into track pools, the casinos suddenly loved horse players as they got their transfer fees from wagering and took no risk. I loved parlays. You are correct with the potential for big payoffs. I also remember when certain casinos would not book certain tracks under any circumstance. There's an involved Garden State Harness story there. OOPS I guess I'm showing my age.

A few years ago you could place parlay wagers at Del Mar and other CA tracks, but you could not mix tracks. You could make a parlay wager for up to six races. The wager was approved by the California Horse Racing Board (CHRB). Then, for some inexplicable reason, they stopped allowing it. At least you can still make them at the Caliente Sports Book in TJ (and across Mexico) and since I live in San Diego, I guess that will just have to do.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if you can mix tracks, since it's parimutuel.

But if the book itself was backing the bet, as described by PPtraderal, I could see it, but I'm guessing nowadays all the legal sportsbook horse wagering just feeds into the parimutuel pool.

I was thinking about hitting Maywood Park tonight for some harness action. It's free parking and admission.

The best bet from Paradise Mike is Timeless Artist in the 5th race.

    Mike’s Solid Plays

    Tweeds Fly N Star (1st race) 9-5

    Timeless Artist (5th race) 3-2

    Mike’s Price Shots

    Happy Surprise (2nd race) 4-1
