is there a parking fee for Paris?
Not yet but I'm sure CET will jump on the bandwagon soon!
At this point, only MGM charges (on the strip). And of course, many do not even pay that.
ssshhh, don't give them ideas, ha ha. Yeah, only a matter of time they will follow suit I think.
Yea, I am sure the suits are looking at it.
Step 1 - Advertise they do NOT charge parking fees.
Step 2 - Charge fees for your enjoyment.
"We charge parking fees for the convenience of our customers."
LOL.............however, if i was Caesar, i would post signs at CET parking structures indicating that parking is free as long as you have a Key or a Reservation valid from Caesars. People staying at MGM, Stations, Boyd, etc properties are welcome but will pay to pay a parking fee if you choose to park at CET properties.
So, in effect, most of the patrons parking at Caesars hotels are Caesars customers.
The announcement for paid parking for CET properties will come before the end of the year. Guaranteed.
MGM just had an analyst day yesterday and increased their Profit Growth Plan goals from $300 Million to $400 Million for 2017.
Stock is up 3.5% pre-market.
So, in your scenario, players would have to pay to park?
I think there's no doubt CET will charge for parking at some point. I'm guessing it will start with allowing all hotel guests to park for free along with Diamond and above players. And then eventually it will just be Diamond and above free and everyone else pays.
One of the main reasons to start charging for parking is because more people will now start to park in the CET lots. Since many will have to pay to park in the Mlife lots they will instead park in the CET lots, filling up those lots so naturally CET will have to start charging so their lots don't fill up with the people who want free parking.
I wonder if anyone or the news media is checking with CET and the other strip hotels to see if their lots are filling up more than usual because of MGM charging for parking.
The news media? No. They don't want to contribute to bad news about the strip. I don't even think it's allowed at LVRJ anymore. Bloggers? As they get wind of something, they will let us know. But because the fees are at Mirage and to a lesser extent Bellagio, it's bound to start spilling over by the end of the year.
