Previously, I have mostly stayed at M-Life resorts, but I've recently gotten more into staying and playing at CET properties. My wife likes staying at the nicer resorts on the Strip, which for CET probably means Paris LV or Planet Hollywood, since Caesars Palace seems a little above our pay-grade for a decent room. Any advice on which would be better for our next trip to LV?

What are you looking for? What's high on your list of priorities? Fun casino? Fun pool? Quieter environment? Better restaurants?

You can't go wrong with either place but I prefer PH, I like their casino, rooms and overall vibe more.

PH if you fancy yourself young and hip, Paris if you are more of the mature and reserved type. Either way you can jaunt back and forth with ease.

Personally, I would recommend PHo but if you're looking for a quiter atmosphere, pick Paris.

I guess what would matter most to us is the quality of the casino, the quality of the rooms, how nice the pool is, quality of the restaurants, and the quality of entertainment (although we aren't interested in the Britney show at PH because we're not big fans). How are their buffets? Which one has the more fun environment for gaming and just walking around? My wife is in her late 20s and I'm in my mid 30s if that helps.

    Paris not so quiet, IMO

Last few times I was in Paris it wasn't so quiet, I think they turned up the volume on the party pit music and the lounge area which is also near the party pit. Maybe quiet in the daytime but not so much in the nighttime. Anyone else notice this or is it just me?

My preference is Paris because I like the layout and friendly craps dealers, but I like both of them.

Based on these factors, I would rate the casinos about the same (very different vibes, but in terms of quality, they are on the same level), much nicer rooms at Paris, both have terrible pools, and if you're not into the shows at Axis theater, I'm not sure what other entertainment you're talking about. PHo has more of a party vibe and I find more fun to walk thru. The crowd at paris is noticeably older. If you have stayed at MGM properties in the past, I would say the vibe at paris is comparable to Monte Carlo and PHo vibe is comparable to Mirage. Both have good buffets, but I prefer the Spice market buffet to the one at Paris.

Paris all the way. If pool is a factor ph's pool is awful, Paris has a very nice pool

I agree the Paris pool is better than PHo, but it still stinks. Its just a giant, boring bathtub. And because of where it sits in relation to the hotel towers, there's zero chance of getting any morning or early day sun on the pool deck. Obviously, I am not a fan

Having stayed at both properties twice, no stayed at Paris three times, I would have to say it depends on the level of room you get. At PH our last visit was upgraded to the resort and our last Paris room was the red room, based on this I vote Planet Hollywood. My wife really enjoyed the Miracle Mile shopping and we seen a couple shows there as well which was convenient. Although we're more Jersey Boys fans than Britney, I would still favor PH over Paris.

I have stayed at both, and both are great properties. The red rooms at Paris are better than any of the non-suite rooms at PH. As others have said, Paris is a little more reserved and laid back

We have not tried Paris but have been staying at PH the past few trips.
PH is very convenient to the mall and that huge Walgreens (or CVS) right next door.

I would select Paris' buffet over PH any day.
Paris tends to give more options for Craps.

We tend to bounce back and forth between PH and Paris as they are so close.

In summary, it doesn't really matter were you stay because they are so close together and you can charge any meal to your room no matter the location.

With CET they look at your play at any casino which is different from MLife.

Can't speak for the rooms at PH but we do like the rooms at Paris and the view overlooking the pool and Bellagio fountains is great.

If you enjoy playing craps though, there is a major difference in the day or night time vibe at Paris versus PH...a much friendlier staff and I always seem to do better there!

Hmmm. I'd go with Paris, I'm in my late 20's. The rooms are a little bigger (get a Red Room, those are updated). Paris has great restaurants (GR Steak, Mon Ami, Eiffel Tower).. I also prefer the Paris casino, it's a little small, but it seems to have better games than PH does. Also Jersey Boys is one of the best shows in Vegas!!

Also it's like a 2 minute walk to get into PH, so you can go over there and go shopping or what not. But I'd stay at Paris and visit PH, because its easier to get around, and to get in and out. Everytime I stay at PH it's just a mess. The parking sucks, and it's so big, and the rooms are small. It's never my favorite place to stay.

Regardless, both hotels are a little worn around the edges (as Caesars isn't quite as good about maintenance). But if you are happy with something like Mandalay Bay or Mirage you should be happy here.

We always choose Paris. Like the Red Rooms better than the cramped PH room we had only once (never tried to stay there after that). The mall & PH have very good restaurant options but so does Paris. They are so close together, you can easily experience amenities at the other no matter which you choose.
