Would love input on the Paris Eiffel Tower Restaurant. We booked a window seat for dinner and are seeing mixed reviews.

Can someone let me know your thoughts, is it a good choice for one evening out?

    Almost went Feb 2012

    Almost went Feb. 2012

We called for reservations, while a staying at Paris.

Eiffel T insisted on us giving up a CC #, to allow us to make a reservation.
Nevermind we were hotel guests + Name & time for desired seating.
On some blabbedy Blab, that they have nothing to do with the Hotel garbage.

So we passed it up, as they violated the ******-bag Factor Rule. :nono:

I went a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. keep in mind, fish is the only meat I eat and i went vegetarian that night. The food was excellent and we had a great view next to the window overlooking the fountains. Also took a great photo of my date and i with the Paris balloon in the background. All around great experience. Not sure if it has changed in the past couple years

Wow, I reserved but was not asked for any info - maybe because I did it online? I do not know.
    Thank you.

Wife and I ate there last year and the food was very good. Just keep in mind that if you have plans to see a show or are on any kind of time restraint you might want to make your reservation a little earlier. Our overall time for dining was a little over 2 hours, and I ordered the filet and wife ordered the short ribs. Also, we found out the hard way that the sides are large enough to split between two people.

you're going to overpay for mediocre french food in order to enjoy the view, which can be had elsewhere. i'd rather eat a good meal at Bellagio and see the same view with better food.

Great, we will take that into consideration. I read somewhere about a place to sit where you can also see the fountains. I wonder if it was where you mention?

Prime or Olives at Bellagio have outside seating right next to the fountains.

We are just too frugal to spend that much on 1 meal but have friends who have eaten dinner there and they raved about the food. These 2 couples travel extensively and have had great meals all over the world. Maybe they were there on a good nite...I don't know but they all said they would definately do it again. Good luck and hope you enjoy!
