This has been going on the past 2 days actually, I didn't have a chance to post this until now. Ends tonight. Regular Palms rooms for $45, Palms Place Suites for $55 and I booked a one bedroom suite at PP for $89. 1200 square feet, fire place, two bathrooms, hardwood and marble floors, etc... That's a good deal if you aren't opposed to staying off strip. We are going a Sun-Thur so weekends of course are more. And even weekday prices varied depending when you're going. Just thought I'd pass it along.

How much resort fee was added to each of these price quotes?

Resort fee was not included in the quotes, I think that's pretty standard. I hate it but I think the RF's are here to stay.

$105 is still a good deal for that suite. A very good deal. You just pay the first night in advance, in your case $105 plus tax. You can cancel up to 72 hours before check-in and get a full refund.

Usually when I plan a Vegas trip I'll book a hotel right away when I book my flight if I find a great deal. Then I keep checking all of the hotels I"m interesting in and if I see something I like better in terms of hotel/price I'll book it and cancel the first one. Sometimes the Southwest vacation package is the cheapest, sometimes not. For my October trip it was definitely the cheapest (got the Rio for $25 a night) but this time Southwest packages were more expensive than booking a room separately.

And the Rio is right across from the GC. The Rio also has shuttles to/from Harrahs and Bally's that run every half hour. They run from 10-1 am. The Palms shuttle goes to/from Caesars, which is nice. But they only run 11-8. Gold Coast shuttle goes to Bally's. So you have lots of options getting to/from the strip.

ETA, Palms also has a shuttle to the airport that costs $8, leaves every hour. They do not have a shuttle FROM the airport, you'd have to use one of the other shuttles that stop at other properties if you want to go that route.
