    Trips to Las Vegas:

We just got back from our July trip and decided to head out for our next a couple days earlier. (booked at THEHotel on comps)
We primarily play at MGM, and really like MGM casino's, however as we head out a few times a year thought it would be nice to change it up a bit. We played at The Cosmo a few times, really liked Bond Bar and the vibe. We have NEVER stepped into The Palms.. thinking about staying for a couple days prior to THEHotel.

So my question is... I cannot log into Cosmo Identity, it's down.. Should we think about staying at The Palms.. anyone have their players cards? What do you think about it? We don't just play for comps - but they are nice to get.
I wanted to add - never been in The Wynn either, lots of you guys/gals seem to like it?? Perhaps should consider them? Players club?

This last trip I played craps for the first time - and LOVED it! I'd like to play again this trip. I primarily play slots.. some video BJ - hubby plays VP.
Opinions?? better of staying at The Palms? To be honest I like being able to access my players account online. As far as bankroll...I'm thinking we would be better off at the Palms for a couple nights? What do you think? Just kind of torn...

I'm primarly CET (Rio comped) and Boyd (Gold Coast) so comped rooms or minimal costs past ten years.Play at the Palms with card maybe one day each yearly trip (Call it $300) and get zero mailers for comps. but your husband may like the bank of full pay VP machines if still there from last Sept..

Did stay there one night on a high floor through a buddy's comp and there was noisy/rumble next door that negated the need for a wake-up call at 5am...Same night OJ got arrested in LV..I was wondering the next day though when the news came out..
My impressions of the Palms is not good.. Why not try the Red Rock? Very nice casino, cannot comment on the rooms..Best of luck to you whatever you choose!

There's a thread on the upscale rooms at the Palms in "Off-Strip Hotels & Casinos."

The only way you really know if you like a place is to try it. I stayed at the Palms for 2 nights recently, and played there exclusively. I was given a low-end room, which I didn't like. After two days of sleeping, playing, and eating there, I decided I didn't like the Palms. I've been getting offers from them for comped rooms, but only through email. The players club seems pretty worthless if you're not a local: essentially, you get $1 to spend at the Palms for every $400 you put through the machines; I don't know how they rate table play. Locals get a lot of other deals that are not available to non-locals.

If you like strip places with loud music and a younger crowd at night, the Palms may be for you, especially if you're into clubbing. If not, you may not like it. If you do make a reservation, do so through their site as it's much cheaper than going through another reservation site.
