    My Trip Report

We started going to the Islandview a couple of years ago when a host we liked took a job there. We take various lengths of trips as we only live 4 hours away. We've taken day trips or stayed as many as 4 nights. The trip came up in conversation on Thursday night and 20 minutes later I had a room for Friday night(6th).

We left at 5 and were checking in at 9. Most of the time its just my dad and myself. The Islandview is more of a locals place 10 minutes from Biloxi. It has everything we need as far as table games and they take pretty good care of us. They are also renovating the old Gulfport Grand hotel which will really open this place up. Anyway, we got checked in and hit the floor.

Typically I play 3 card, dice, VP, with a little BJ. I never got anything going at 3 card but had a blast at the dice table. I'm not against playing the don't its just not as much fun as the pass if the table will allow it. We played until 3 and I was just down a few hundred.

They have a pretty good steakhouse and Café type place along with a buffet in the casino as well as a seafood place next door. I've eaten at all of them and the food is pretty solid across the board but I stick to breakfast at the buffet.

We got Saturday morning and played a few games before we got ready to leave. We usually pool a few hundred at the $25 or $50 BJ tables on the way out to get even or press wins. This trip the dealer just pulled everything she needed to beat us and my stacked was whittled down rather quickly. Said goodbye to a few dealers and floor and we were on I-10 in minutes. Will probably see them again in August but you never know.

Thanks for the TR. It looks like you and I play the same games but my order would be VP, dice, 3 card,BJ. Sounds like you spent a good chunk of your time on the dice tables. That often makes the time zoom by. We usually spend most of our time a little further East (Beau, IP, Hard Rock) but we have had fun at Islandview every time we venture over to Gulfport. Even with our limited time there, we still get decent offers from them. One thing that looks appealing is the high number of promotions that they run. We bought a condo in Biloxi 5 months ago. When I retire next summer, I expect we will be hitting the IV pretty often.
