I am putting together an outline itinerary for my trip in a couple of weeks. Tuesday was looking like a good day to claim my $5(!) freeplay from Orleans and hit them hard on their 9/6 Bonus Deluxe VP. I now find that Tuesday is the 'Young at Heart' day with various promotions for the older folks, including point multipliers.

Has anyone any experience of these days at Orleans? Is the place overrun with chain smoking, card toting locals, building up their slot points or am I likely to be able to settle with Mrs T for a couple of hours of peaceful VP? Thanks.

I've been there on Young at Heart days, but other than some kind of prize drawing for maybe 15 minutes that attracted a fairly large mob near the sports book, I don't think the crowds were anything out of the ordinary. Don't let that stop you, although the place is often "overrun with chain smoking, card toting locals, building up their slot points!" You can always try Gold Coast if things get too nutty at the Orleans. Have a great trip!

Suncoast has the same deal and we would go every Tuesday for a movie (discounted rate) and a few $20s at video poker. Never found it to be overly crowded. I would think no different at Orleans.

I hit them up everytime I am in Vegas. It doesn't feel anymore crowded than other days.

We have visited Orleans and Gold Coast on Senior days and the only difference is the line for the buffet is longer. No more crowded and smoky than normal.

Thanks everyone. We will not be eating, just stopping by for some VP and a wander around. Seems like we will be fine, I'm looking forward to a few 4OAKs on those Bonus Deluxe machines.
