It is harder and harder to keep to frugality in my planning. It took a while, but the Orleans has the December offers out on my B Connected. I scored the 2 free nights that will complete my booked trip, one of them over the very lucrative Young at Heart Wednesday where I will eat for free repeatedly and see the Nite Kings in the Lounge if they are still there. I'll be interested to see If I can manage the pool in December. It was heated for my November trips, a rare thing in Vegas. All this on nickel VP play on those triple poker progressives 9/7 DB. Decent play even when the royal progressives are not high, but at least one usually is. At Sam's Town my nickel play on the full pay Deuces Wild scored me three free nights for the first time. I booked November 29-30, but saw no offers for December to pick up one more day. So I called. The clerk had to step away and override something, but she added in December 1. Pretty damn good for nickel play. All this has been evolving since the D and the 4 Queens cut back or eliminated my comps on quarter play, which along with my inability to ever get a quiet room anywhere downtown, pretty much discouraged me from staying downtown. In December, at the end of the trip, I've booked 3 nights in California over the weekend for $138 total. No resort fee there as yet. So, I'm heavily into Boyd now with Longhorn at $32 a night and Laughlin at 5 nights for $137 offering frugal escapes from the strip and downtown.
