OK everyone, we have an extra $100 in Total Reward credits that we were not expecting to have for food.

So we are confused as to what to do with an unplanned $100?

We were planning on this dinner to be a pay out of pocket dinner, the last night of our trip in May. And we try to keep it under $40 (haha), for we share.....

I know, I know... $100 for dinner is nothing. For us, it is WTF? :confused2:

Anyway, we will only use this on our last night in Vegas on a Thursday, and has to be CET near PHo.

Looked at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, nope, that is $100 per person.

Nothing at PHo in that price range we want to eat at.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Yet, Mon Ami Gabi could fill the bill. So two questions with a $100 dinner budget:

    1) Do able at $100 (we do not have drinks with dinner, we do not care for alcohol when eating).

    2) Read here they do not take reward credits, you have to go to the TR desk to get a voucher for the amount you "THINK' you will spend. Some people wait until the bill, leave AMG to get voucher, come back, but that is frowned upon.

    3) Any place else within Paris, PHo? We do not like Chinese or Mexican at these prices, like steaks. Yummmmmm. :licklips:

Just a few more that might fit the price range, and are excellent: Mesa Grill at CP and Center Cut Steak House at Flamingo. Mon Ami would be an excellent choice as well and without drinks you should be in budget.

OK, tell us more about Mesa Grill at CP and Center Cut at Flamingo???

Within the walking distance, YES!!! We will look at menus while we wait for your responses.

Not really happy with the AMG idea (good for Lunch) for Dinner, yet, do not know what to do.

A $100 is out of our league, so this is a treat. Do not mind adding an extra $40 on top of the $100, for that is what we were going to spend anyways.

    A Reminder!

Just in case you didn't remember... your tip comes out of that $40! You can't use your credits for the tip! Hope you have a great dinner!

If you do have trouble eating enough to use all the $100 credit... don't forget you can always get a fab dessert to take to your room for a midnight snack!

does the ruth chris in harrahs take TR?

if so, eating between 5 and 7 from the lounge menu would open up a lot of possibilities. will go on if the first question is answered affirmatively.

Bacchanal buffet at Caesars would fit the bill as well.

so, for tr card holders, eating from the bar menu in the bar...and they bring linens and everything to those tables, with service probably better and more focused than in the restaurant. for tr card holders, during those early hours, the 18 dollar steak sandwich with fries is 11 bucks. you can add on lobster bisque, or a wedge salad, or a lot of other things.

once when i did it, i added on a couple of glasses of 12 dollar a glass wine, so that is where they try to make it up, so with tip and the taxes it probably came to 50. anyway, there are 6 or 7 items on the bar menu, the steak sandwich is all i have ever had, will recommend it, and you could have a nice meal, casually, with a view.

OK, looked at the menu for Ruth Chris at Harrah's and that is very doable.

Center Cut Steakhouse at Flamingo is not showing any prices, so when we are in the area one afternoon, we'll stop in to look at prices.

Either of these two would be a treat for us, so we will pick one of these. Thanks everyone!!!!

A voucher is not needed. Just give the server your player's card when paying and tell him/her that you want to pay with your points. They take care of it at the register.

I forgot to come back to this, and to say THANKYOU!

No, we did not know you cannot use TR for tips. So, thanks to you, we have added this expense to our total travel budget. I know it is not much, and we add buffer. We would prefer to not use the buffer, for "Known extras".

Now, because of you, and adding extra for TR food tips, our "Buffer" remains in tact. THANK YOU!
