Maybe some of you can relate: This happens at work........

    ME: "Hey, how you doing?"

    THEM: "It's Friday......."

WTF? I know what days it is, that's not what I asked you!

It might be cutesy or trite, but the message does scream through.

My pet peeve is pet peeves. OK, I don't like ploppers clogging up the #1 lane on freeways.

Don't get me going on driving! (The thing is......we all think we are the best driver, and everyone else sucks!)

On a side note, looks like 50's for the rest of the month up here! Golf will start really early this Spring!

    Yeah, and tomorrow is Saturday.

But, on the other hand when I'm asked how I'm doing I'm pretty sure the person asking doesn't really give a damn.

Yep - not an issue with me either. If someone initiates a conversation with me they'll get what I want to say - not what they want to hear. Don't get me wrong, I'm not abusive or insulting. But, I don't feel obligated to say what people expect.

Let's look on the bright side. Throwing a curve or two into a conversation can be entertaining and stimulating. A witty response to a mundane query is often more interesting.

All THOSE people suck. lol I think a mandatory rite of passage for continued licensing as a driver folks should be put on the 210 or 405 in an underpowered econobox during those lovely times when the two speeds are 80 mph and RAPIDLY decelerating.

Golf? Maibugolfer and I played Ojai yesterday. Where were you?!?

This one! If you ask how I'm doing, you need to be prepared for me to start crying and telling you all my woes. :wink2:

You'd hate me as I always say that...haha, hopefully we aren't working together and you're posting about me. I only say it because I like to wish my weeks away. I mean, who doesn't live for the weekend?

I'll usually answer "okay"....no matter what...
and mutter.."But I shot someone who asked."

    Did you know ?
    How could you.....
AARP taught me several months ago --- "Keep 3 car lengths ahead of you open at all times."
The video shows a guy driving in the left lane.
    WTF ?
    *
Could we have some REALITY taught ?
Try 3 car lengths in the traffic I drive 5 days a week ! ???......... 3 FEET WOULD BE NICE !
Then, be even more unrealistic, ...do it in the far left lane !

I thought it was the 3-second rule. You should be 3-seconds behind the car in front of you. 3 car length going 70 mph is fairly close; and at 5 mph is pretty far away.

Lots of peeve posts lately. Rush, you have that WI plate logo, so you know the vast majority here could give a damn about driving too slow in the left lane and screw the flatlanders! Passing, what do you mean that lane is for passing?

I don't see the left lane issue as much as I used to. The REAL issue up here now, is the middle lane dweebs. 3 lanes, and I'll just sit in the middle one and putz at 60MPH. Cars are ducking and diving to the left and right of these morons, but what do they care? Cell phone watchers are at an epidemic pace up here now, too. They speed up, and slow down, weave back and forth. You can't tell me these people aren't as dangerous as drunks.

Cell phone users are dangerous, that's why we have laws here that no electronic devices can be used while driving. You can answer your phone hands free.

    *Self withdrawn for poor taste*

I always say something like "Yo, whazzup." Or the equally Philly, "Howzit hangin'." Or "Yo, sweetheart, when we runnin' away?"

Oh, I use the left lane for passing. There could be a whole line of cars to pass. I ain't going 90 for nobody, so lay off the fucking flashing lights, because that will make me go slower.

Rule of thumb is cops will never ticket you for less than 10 miles over speed limit. Unless they are trying to fill a quota or in a contest with the other cops.

Another rule of thumb, all bad guys that get pulled over have a broken tail light or broken license plate light.

I usually respond with "i'm doing", or if they asked how it's going, I say "it's going", would that rankle you too?
