do any of the casinos have this game on a regular basis. I usually play 1/2 no limit but have been playing this with friends a lot and may want ot give ti a try. Any pointers for this game would be great.

The Orleans has a 4/8 Omaha h/l running right now. That's prob ur best bet for low stakes (not much bigger than 3/6).

Venetian might get 4/8 going during busier times.

Download the bravo poker app and keep any eye out.

Yeah, it's usually 4/8 O8 with a half kill. Venetian and Orleans run it quite a bit.

The most basic pointer is to focus on low hands. I think anyone knows AA23 is a monster, but any hand with both high and low potential, like A23K or A3QK have great potential. Obviously, you can play more than this, and high only rundowns like TJQK can do well when the low doesn't come. Just don't play hands like 4567 and 89TJ where usually the best you can do is win half the pot.

As Tuscaloosa mentioned any middling cards that would generally be considered good in Omaha hi want to be avoided in Omaha hi/lo. I started playing this game a number of months ago online and it has become my favourite game to play. I feel like the standard of nlhe and plo has increased drastically online over the years to the point where I barely even beat the microstakes on pokerstars anymore, however I feel like there is still a gap in the market for PLO8 where players do not play correctly and can be easily exploited. Many players concentrate on winning either the high or the low when the main edge in this game is playing hands that are able to scoop the whole pot.

Great game though, and I'd love to see it get bigger and for there to be more regular games running in Vegas, although it's a nightmare for the dealer to manage!

I'm with you there. O8 is so soft compared to NLHE, wherever you play it, live or online.
