    My Trip Report

This is a foray into my second trip report. This was intended to be a solo trip for my birthday (actually one day late). But about a month ago my dad decided to join me. This will be our fourth trip together the most recent being in October. We are both staying at NY NY but in separate rooms this time. He claims it is because he snores but I think it is because he wants to get away from my snoring. Either way we are both staying on comps for all three nights. He has a mix of freeplay and resort credit while the bigger gambler, myself, gets only a small amount of resort credit. I don’t understand Mlife sometimes.

The tentative plan is for me to get in early Monday morning (3/21) via the first flight out of MSP and he gets in late Monday night. I plan on using a myvegas reward for the Bellagio buffet on Monday night and Wednesday night we’ll do the Excalibur steakhouse myvegas reward. Other than that no meals planned but my dad loves the Ellis Island steak special so the goal is to limit him to one trip.

Gambling plans consist of trying to play more VP. I usually play a lot of BJ but I’ve been honing my VP skills on my phone. Last trip I taught my dad the fundamentals of craps and he’s hooked so we’ll be rolling a few bones.

Other goals are to try a couple specialty drinks at Cosmo, hit TAG up for some beer that actually tastes good, and potentially burn my winter hibernated body at the pool. We usually make a downtown night every trip. I have some Golden Gate freeplay to use and bought the ACG to cash in on some match-play offers at the casinos we don’t normally frequent.

Not going to promise a live report but I downloaded tapatalk just in case. I’ll need to carry around a charger to keep the phone alive. Last time it didn’t last long. I really wish fanny packs would become cool again just for Vegas trips. My pockets are always overloaded with bankroll, charger, wallet, phone, and players club cards.

Wishing you some good luck, my fellow Minnesotan!

I'll be at the Golden Gate from late tonight through Wednesday.

First 2 hour BJ session in the books. Up a little bit after a rough start. First hand was a blackjack for the dealer. Is that a bad omen? At Twin Peaks right now. Great scenery.

Glad to hear you turned it around! I had an epic 4 hour BJ session last night. Turned my last $40 for the day into $250. Here's to the luck keeping up!

Ok, I don't understand the life inconsistency on early check in. Mirage will give a room as soon as ready and text you when available. NYNY will not even consider it.

That's disappointing they won't check you in early, you need a host ;). I hope you win a lot next session! :)

A quick update after taking the best 2 hour power nap. Hit a premium quad at Tag then meandered over to Bellagio sports bar for a little dollar double double boner. Hit 3 quads in the span of one drink and cashed out up $600!

Nice start to the trip. I agree with your dad on the Ellis Island steak special. But I have found their BBQ is the better deal, plus the micro-brew beer is good too.

Ok I am alive (barely). I'll have more details when I get in front of a computer. Let's just say that you know you did Vegas right when you actually want to go home.
