My step-father and I will be going to the Hollywood casino in Columbus tomorrow. It is the closest one for both of us (Cincy isn't open yet). It will be the first time for both of us to one of the Oho casinos (we have both been to the Indiana riverboats and Vegas, multiple times for me). In today's local newspaper, I read an article about 10 people from central Ohio being indicted for cheating at the table games there during the first month it was open (Oct 10-Nov 8). This is supposedly the just first wave of indictments. The article did not say what schemes were being used, i.e. card swapping, pulling their bets after the fact, etc. I don't know what Ohio's law says about card counting. My step-father and I both shook our heads a little and had kind of a sad laugh at this. What greed will do to people.

We made the trip, but I don't see myself going back anytime soon. Nice facility. I held my own on slots. I play table games mostly, but they were $15 and $25 dollar minimums. A bit rich for my limited budget for this trip. I did a few hands of 3 card poker at a $15 dollar table and it chewed up too much of my small bankroll. By this time, my step-father was out of money (he played only slots). I still had money left but we decided to head home. I will stick with the 2 Indiana riverboats I frequent for now.

I feel the same way... I went to the one in Toledo near when it opened and the limits were high though it was a nice place. Maybe they will die down after the local degens get felted but $25 mins for a rural or smaller city type area is crazy.
