Had the most frustrating craps experience I've ever had so far. Granted, I've only really started transitioning to craps within the last two years or so from playing blackjack all the time.

Bought in for a few hundred and I generally take passline and 5x odds. The two casinos near me are 100x odds and 10x odds tables.

After the point is established I always place 6/8 and then feel it out from there. Occasionally a few come bets with 5x odds to start.

The dice went around the table and the theme was constant. 7's and 11's on the come out roll, so would win 1x my passline. Once a point was made it was IMMEDIATELY point seven out for the whole table until it got to me. I at least made two points before I sevened out. The dice went around the table and it was the same thing again.

I switched to don't pass. Shooter rolled 7,7,11 on the come out roll so lose, lose, lose. Shooter made a point so I layed odds on the don't pass and they immediately made their point.

I usually NEVER play don't pass, and the few times I do I play it the whole time I'm at the table and don't switch from passline to don't pass.

As a passline better, how can I survive a choppy table other than not betting???? Any tips?

I use what they call the 5 count to weed out the PSO shooters and extend my bankroll until
a good roll comes along (imagine it sorta like waiting until the count is good for you at BJ)

shooter has to make a point for the count to start (2,3,12 or 7/11 no count)

so he makes an 8 (1)
    5 (2 count)
    11 (3 count)
    2 (4 count)
6 (5 count and you're on this guy until he 7's)

but the one and the 5th count Both have to be one of the 6 point numbers or you chill

doing this will weed out 40-ish % of weak or bad rollers and stretch your money long enough
so you aren't short stacked when that heater finally comes along

    That's the only way.
Maybe after 2 people in a row go PSO, hold off until someone makes 2 points in a row, then start betting again?

I will have to look into this if start seeing a lot of PSO during my next few craps sessions. I will attribute my success before this to dumb luck and playing/pressing at the right time!

I've been reading a lot of the craps forums websites trying to learn as much as I can for my next session...which will be this Thursday in Vegas!

    5 count works

yeah it sucks to miss out on the first 5 rolls of a hot shooter

but being on the first 2-3 rolls of Every PSO shooter sucks way more

The only reason the 5 count appears to makes your bank roll last longer is because you are betting on fewer shooters during the same amount of time.
Try this one to really make your bankroll last a while: only bet when you shoot.
