Is anyone experiencing a reduction of comp offers from MSS or from any downtown Boyd casino? Despite playing more during calendar year 2013, we had a reduction in offers from MSS for Jan-Mar 2013. Our free room offers are without meals or food dollar amounts. Free play amount was reduced.

FWIW, I never had any offers from Fremont/Cal...then again, I never play in them.
My MSS offers look about the same...still 3 nights with $20 dining...

I didn't get a December offer from MSS, but did get my January one.
I think they knew they would be packed with the rodeo in December and didn't need my business.

We have no food offers for Jan-Mar 2014. We continue to have 4 nites that used to come with meals (Aloha coupon booklet). We are returning in February and emailed MSS. The reply was that they will give us the booklet for that visit.

I asked about Fremont/Cal to see if offers had been reduced for those who have them as their home casino for downtown Boyd.

About the same here. Got a bonus offer January for 2 nights + $25, which stacked with 2 nights + 10 that I get every month.

I just got our March offers and they are reduced.

We actually both played on my card last trip and my offers are reduced - no more tournament invites.

I'm concerned. I hope they aren't pulling an El Cortez on me.

I'm curious flusher...what is the letter at the END of the offer code, on the mailer, it'll be directly next to your name, just in front of your players club # (on the address portion of the mailer)
Just for reference, mine is F and my wife's is G ($25 freeplay for me, $40 dining for her; both with 3-nights stay)

Am just adding to Timspeed's comments on offer codes. A few years back, I pieced together the various offer codes and the amount of comp offers. I discovered that the offer codes had 7 digits as follows:

    1st digit is a letter indicating the hotel (G=MSS, B=California, E=Fremont)
    Digits 2-5 are the month/year of offer (0214=February 2014)
The sixth digit is a letter (Used to be frequency of offer)
The 7th digit is a letter (A to L and maybe higher)

I kept track of the letters and could just about determine the free room, slot play and meal offers based on the 7th letter code. The comp code is based on your ADT and not your players card level.

The best offers were those at level A and they receive free rooms, 100 dollars free slot play and meals. They receive the Gold card on check-in to be used for meals at any downtown casino. (Not my level)

Informative post HAWJOHN. I never figured out the first number but now that I look at my offers and when/where they came from, it makes more sense.

I do have G, T and V offers and have no idea what casino they originated from.:drunk: I am worried. :wink2:

BTW, the offer code shows up on email offers, it's at the bottom in the fine print.

Thanks HawJohn! You just did my homework FOR me!
I did that for years for JANugget in Reno...but now that they've sold and have hired all Indian Casino execs/designers, we're jumping ship and heading whole-hog to Vegas...
    The Strange part is...
The wife is a "G" offer (Level 7 we figure) and she has 3 nights free + two $20 dining credits...shoot, that's basically two free dinners at 777 ($10 per person, per night)
We're going to play heavier in vegas over 2014, so I'll report my findings for Boyd (MSS and other properties)

After reviewing the old data for this thread, I have determined why my comps do not include food amounts. These were information for the downtown Boyd casinos a few years ago.

Offer codes A-C: Free play awards. Food ranging from the Aloha Coupon Book, Silver Card and Gold Card.

Offer codes D-F: Free Play awards with no food offers.

Offer codes G and below: No Free play, but food dollar offers.

Despite increasing our play in 2013, our offer codes for year 2014 were downgraded. Am now at E and wife is at D. Although our accounts were linked, it may be time to use only one card.

    Again, AMAZING info! Greatly Appreciated!
Personally, if I ain't gettin "C", I want "G" (food is more valuable to me than freeplay...I gotta eat! lol)

It's worth noting that Silver and Gold cards are separate from mailed offers. To get one of those you must see a host. Host's can approve Silver on the spot but it requires a management review for a Gold card. For instance I am silver card AND I get the food book coupon thing as part of my mailed offers (which is a waste!).

Never hurts to ask for a silver card. I am at offer level C (and have been for a long time) but they have always approved a silver card. I'm guessing I am on the cusp of the B offer code.

For those dedicated MSS players, if I stay elsewhere on the next trip and give MSS one day of $10k coin in, will I hurt my status? I like the place but it isn't worth a day of play to mess up years of free stays and food that they offer monthly not to mention the monthly freeplay.
