I couldn't find the thread on how offers change once you move to Vegas but I do remember someone mentioning that they do (decrease?).

If anyone could shed some insight on this it would be greatly appreciated!

I too am curious about the impact that changing your zip code from an out of town place to a local place has on your offers from the casinos. My particular concern is with the MS Gulf Coast (we recently bought a condo there) but I would think that the corporate world would treat any gambling destination that they have a property in the same way. Anyone have any experience with this?

You'll receive more offers, but of less substance. Weekly buffet offers instead of room offers. Matchplay offers almost every week. Bonus points on reels and VP on certain days for locals only.
Plenty of crappy gift giveaways almost weekly.

For Boyd properties local's points expire after 6 months, instead of one year as a visitor.

I'm not from Las Vegas, but the Omaha area. I get far more offers, both e-mail and snailmail, from Las Vegas and from Kansas City than I do from the local casinos.

But if you lived in Vegas, you'd be amazed at the weekly offers that fill the mailbox and are in the LVRJ almost everyday.

I've been a local over 12 years, Vegas was a different place back then... but I would receive multiple room offers several times a year when I lived in Chicago. With an LV address, it's mostly point multipliers, match play/free play, and buffet and restaurant coupons. I get an occasional room offer in the heat of summer or in Dec when occupancy is extremely low. SLS, Silverton and M Resort send us the most mailings with minimal gambling. Typically, we reserve our gambling for Laughlin because they send multiple offers a month (free rooms, match play and dining credits) for minimal play. My mom lives in Pahrump, she tends to receive double the free play I do. Likely to make it more enticing to make the drive.

as a local you get difernt things the only casino that realy suxs is cet , you get a monthly local mailer with free play and food and other crap, but the big stuff is tied to room offers wich wont change you still get those , so they want you to take the room offer for free show tickets or , tournements , checkin in for 2 or 3 days not use the room , just to get the prize , were grazie, wynn, hardrock , Palms , mlife and the others will wave it , or have a locals entry and a tourisrt entry so you dont have to take and kill a room.

im doing the big big wynn give away for i think 350k , i got a locals mailer and some people on vmb got the tourist , the differnce was theres has a room offer and some free play if you qualify. but im still entered in the tourneyand thats all thats matter.

as a local you will get so much crap your head will spin.
