My initial assumption was that there are easy comps to be had at off-strip properties like M Resort, South Point, Silverton, and Station casinos. I tend to like Coast casinos, so I was curious about these other properties.

Any experience with comps in some of these?

I've found Orleans comps pretty easy. It seems that with the Boyd Properties (gold coast, orleans, sams town, suncoast, main street, california and fremont) you will get comps mostly at one casino - presumably your "home" casino, though I tried changing that to mss, and I play heavier at mss and still get better comps at orleans. All these casinos are connected, so play at all of them goes towards your comps/tier. I have never stayed there, but a couple hours low rolling on a few trips at M resort has netted free buffets, line passes, small gifts and discounted room offers. I haven't had the same luck with Station Casinos or South Point.

(I'm speaking as a low to mid roller. $1 VP, $25 BJ, maybe a little more on craps).

M Resort has been very good to me since they opened. I hardly stay anywhere else these days.
Definitely worth a visit to join their players club to get their monthly mailers. 2 free nights is pretty easy to get and includes weekends. Sometimes I'll get the other nights free, sometimes they're at casino rate. If the stars align, they'll pick up some F&B at checkout, too.

I've tried to give Stations some play because I'd like stay at Red Rock or GVR one of these days, but I get no love from them. Mebbe they don't like Canadians...

South Point offers very little upfront, but I've had good luck with them picking up F&B charges at checkout.

Wife and I stopped in at MSS several years ago (8 to 10) and played vp for a few hours. The mailers start showing up. 4 nights, fp and 3x pts. Now we get mailers for at least 2 nights at any B connected property. So every trip includes 4 nights at MMS and a couple at Orleans. I like the vibe at the Boyd casinos. The best comp we ever scored was on a cruise to Nassau and a quick trip to Paradise Island Atlantis. We played a few hours on one trip and started getting 3 nights at Atlantis. Found $9 airfare to Nassau on Spirit out of Ft. Lauderdale. Cheap trip to a top notch resort. Managed to do this a couple of times.

South Point, Coast, Eastside Cannery, Palms, Silverton have all sent me offers...sometimes after just a few hours. All slot play here. South Point sends the DH offers for midtier rooms, free fitness center and a little slot play and he doesn't use his card much. SP sends me (we both use my card and we run through lots of $$$ since their machines are looser) 2 nights suite, $50 free play and $50 resort credit. Not bad for a low roller slot player. Strat, technically on strip but I don't think of it as being on strip....sends me suit offers after $100 or less of slot play.

I played one day at M in July and have been receiving offers.

The latest is two nights and two tickets to Sawyer Brown.

I've never received anything from South Point since staying there in July although I did have my room comped at the end of my 5 night stay.
