I'm curious what the odds are for the Royals to win the World Series. I'm even more curious what those odds would have been back in May when I was last in Vegas. I'm guessing 50-1. It's probably more like 4-1 now.

If anyone knows what the odds were last Spring or even a few months ago, would appreciate it. Thanks.

30 to 1 seems so bad. But the house tends to have huge edges on these longterm bets.

After KC wrapped up the division series, LVH sportsbook (now Westgate) put them at 3 to 1 (the 6 remaining playoff teams at the time had a 15% average house edge) .

    3/1 now on Bovada.

When they lost 9 or 10 straight and the Tigers won a bunch you could have got them as high as 50/1.

A couple days ago before either series started, the odds were as follows at South Point.

    Orioles 2:1
    Royals 3:1
    Cardinals 5:2
    Giants 5:2

I recall when a series starts (the day the regular season ends) you could bet combinations of WS teams prior to any play-off game being played.....wonder what Royals vs. Giants would have been as both had to play into the play-offs, it looked slim for either and slimmer for both.....hopefully the drama continues throughout the remaining games.....

Royals are the better team as they proved in August by sweeping the Giants. I'll take Kansas City.
