    My Trip Report

Some observations from my recent trip. It was a girls trip to celebrate my younger sister's upcoming wedding. There was 15 of us, ages late 30s to late 40s, and also our mother,75.

FLIGHTS-Flew Southwest out of Midway. Came in on 3 different flights and home on 2. Only one flight had a 40 minute weather delay. Returning flight was freezing, glad I had a sweatshirt. Purchased wifi, worked well except for one 30 minute stretch.

HOTEL-Monte Carlo. I had 1 free room for Fri, Sat & Sun night, but came out Wednesday with a $81/night plus resort fees for 2 nights. I booked 2 other rooms for my sisters at $131/131/81 plus resort fee for the weekend. They were able to locate all of our groups rooms in the same area. I called Monday morning for a late checkout since we had a evening flight. They quoted me $40 til 4pm but it never showed up on my bill.

We had some issues: missing coffee pot, broken toilet handle, not enough towels, but they were quickly resolved.

FOX Rent a car- Rented full size for $24/ day for 5 days. Added my mother for $10/day before I found out they didn't have any cars left and gave us an Explorer. I should have gone back in and taken her off knowing she wouldn't drive something that big. Took a day before I figured out how to adjust the mirrors. Also had low tire pressure light come on, so I had to buy a cheap gauge at Walgreens to figure out which ones needed air.

FOOD COURT-We chose the MC because of their food court since some of the girls were on a tight budget, so we grabbed a lot of quick meals there.

N9ne Steakhouse-The best steak dinner I have had! The bill was just over $1500 for 15 of us. Service was excellent. Definitely will go back.

Voodoo Lounge- I am not a club/bar person so I have nothing to compare it to but it was a great view on a beautiful night. We had a picture taken-$35 for a 5x7. Everyone seemed to have a good time.

CASINOS- I am a low budget gambler. Played mostly blackjack, 3card and carribean stud and slots. Added a new favorite, Rapid Roulette, loved that we could sit and play altogether, just hit the rebet button and you're done.
COSMO-signed up for card and they still have $100 free play promo. I went to play $100 through $5WOF in the HL room, ended up winning 120.
NYNY- Had terrible luck here, but they did have a great Michael Jackson impersonator performing.

PARTY CABANA-We rented this for Sunday and loved it. It had a tv to watch the football games, your own waitress, several couches/chairs, 8 loungers,4 tubes and a small wading pool. You must purchase $600 in food/drinks which was no problem for us over 7 hours.

MISCELLANEOUS- I lost my camera in the casino on Saturday but was lucky someone turned it in.
I was surprised that we were able to take pictures in the casino,
Way too many strollers. I have 5 children but don't understand bringing babies/toddlers.
Also had a run in at the Rapid Roulette table with a guy demanding a cigarette from my friend. He started swearing at and harassing us when she said no. He became really belligerent, but hightailed out for there when the dealer went to get the pit boss. We saw him the next day in the same clothes by the women's pool bathroom harassing girls as they walked by.

    It was a great trip.
