How did you make out with the 24 hour pass. Where did you eat and how was it?

Thanks for posting the pics. Gives me a good comparison with the rooms at TI. They seem comparable, but the Mirage pool area sure does have it all over the TI pool :rolleyes2: The waterfall looks great.

Is it a "party" pool, or were you able to relax? Don't think I can handle being surrounded by partying 20-somethings for hours at a time.

We ate at Caesars Palace for dinner the first night at around 7:00 PM. Cafe Lago is my favorite HET buffet. It is small, but the quality seems to be a bit better. Mostly I stuck to crab legs and spicy tuna sushi (I picked the rice off of the rolls)

Breakfast the next morning was at Paris. We won't be headed back there anytime soon. The food was marginal at best. Probably the worst Las Vegas buffet I have ever had. We got there at around 8:00 AM and there was absolutely no line. Normally the line is extremely long at that time. Maybe i'm not the only one that thinks the Paris buffet sucks.

We had lunch around noon at PH. Food was decent, but I didn't eat too much. They have a big selection of food, but none seems to be especially tasty to me. Just your run of the mill buffet food.

We had dinner again at Caesars. It was just as delicious as the night before.

A couple of tips for the 24 hour pass -

1 - Moderation is the key. Don't stuff yourself or you will pay dearly. It's a lot of food to eat in 24 hours. Both my wife and I simply ate until we were satisfied. Last spring we over did it and I felt like crap for days.

2 - Try to do a late dinner the first night. $39.99 per person for 2 dinners, a breakfast and a lunch is a pretty sweet deal in my book.

3 - Keep in mind that you are paying for buffet food. Too many people have way too high of expectations when going into the buffet due to the price they pay. Sometimes you can get really good food from the buffet, but for the most part it is simply a cafeteria.

Definitely not a party pool. Some sections were louder than others, but for the most part it was really laid back. I'm a very light sleeper and nodded off a couple of times.

    Great pictures and nice TR

I like the Paris buffett, altho haven't done brkfst there yet only lunch and dinner ..... Have done the Harrahs Flavours, Flamingo and IP over the years too ......

will be staying at Bellagio and CP in January and will probably try one of them
I'm not a big buffett person for the most part..... but like to try a different *Vegas* buffet at least once during a trip :)

The Mirage pool looks heavenly!! Only pools I've spent time at are Flamingo and Mbay beach.... I usually am not in Vegas during prime pool season but wouldn't mind trying that one out one day :) Rooms look nice too, nice view!

Thanks for the kudos! This was my first trip report. Trying to do it live was a little difficult, but not impossible. I wish there was a way to post pictures directly from your phone.

Your gonna love the Bellagio. That is by far our favorite place to stay. Love the rooms, food and the pool. Haven't stayed at CP, but we spend a fair amount of time in the casino and the forum shops. Sounds like your gonna have a great trip.

    Nice trip report.

I've only eaten once at the CP buffet, it was for breakfast, and it was very good. Smaller than most, but the quality was up there. The service was personable also.

Stayed at Mirage many times, but haven't tried their buffet - is it not worth the time?

I'm not a big fan of the buffet at the Mirage, but in the last couple of years the only meal I have had there is breakfast.

Thanks for the trip report...ate at the cafe largo once on my first trip to vegas...was awestruck over everything and thought is i never come to vegas again i could at least say I ate there...was very good from what i recall but am not a buffet fan. I ate at Paris buffet for breakfast once 15 years ago and it was really good...$4.95 with a LVA coupon...sad to hear it's gone down hill...great pics...My fiirst stay in vegas was at the Mirage on a confrence and had a corner room with a volcano view...the belman who brought the bags up told me I could open the window despite the "alarm" warning if you opened up the windows and could fell the heat everytime the volcano went off...the fresh air was nice during the day...I love the mirage pool...party place at one end...quiet place at the other end...the waterfalls and caves were reallly great in the pool area great as were the servers...nice bikinis they were wearing in Sept...thanks for the report
