I am currently in the Gold tier in the M-Life program but only have 65K tier credits going into October which will move me to Pearl I believe on Oct 1. I have a trip planned for mid-October through a promotion (comp'd) staying at the MC. I generally check in at the VIP room. Question--Will this be an issue due to my status change? Also, when I go to the players club desk to get my free play activated, will they issue me a new card?

    Thanks.

You can get a new card anytime.

As for the VIP lounge, I think you answered your own question. You will be Pearl when you start your trip. Unless a host has marked your reservation with VIP check-in there is no reason to expect to gain access to a check-in area reserved for Gold+.

Just go to the VIP check in and hand them your gold card. Worst thing that happens is they tell you your tier has expired and send you to the regular line.

When did you earn your Gold tier? You have benefits for a whole year after.

OP said but only have 65K tier credits going into October which means he earned Gold last year, it carried over into this year and will expire October 1st.

If you achieved Gold since Oct of last year - you will remain Gold until Oct 2014. For it not to drop after that you will need to re-qualify for Gold again between Oct 1 this year and Oct 2014.

On Oct 1 your TCs will reset to 0 so you have to start from scratch to requalify.

I know this because I asked the same question a while ago

For example - we requalified for Pearl in May of this year by getting 40k points on that trip. So on Oct 1, our TCs will go away but we will be Pearl until Oct 1, 2014 and need to once again requalify between now and then to have it extend to 2015.

I've actually been wondering about the reset too.

I currently am pearl, am planning a trip at the end of Sept. When I hit Gold on that trip I'll be Gold until Oct '14? But, I must re-qualify to maintain that after '14?

I think I've got it, please let me know if I missed something.

I am pearl and I check in at the VIP room at the Monte Carlo. My host told me to check in there, so from what I'm reading here I would not be aloud to check in there if it wasn't for my host. That would stink, VIP check in is the best.

    Thanks host.

Yes. If you hit gold before Oct 1, you will remain gold until Oct 2014. Your TCs will reset to 0 and you have another year to hit gold again.

Any easy way of earning TCs without going to LV? I'm 2K short from Gold..

    Card Clarification

Let me clarify my question. I did not earn enough points this year to remain gold as of Oct. I only have enough (60K) to be Pearl. Does anyone know if MLife players desk will take my gold card and replace it for a pearl card when I check in to get my free play loaded (I have $75 of free play with the promotion I just booked). It likely does not matter either way as I only use it for the buffet line pass which I believe is available for Pearl to. More curious then anything.

    Thanks!

You only need to spend $80 to get there, book a show for your next trip?

Will the points post into my account even though I'd use the show ticket in Dec/Jan?

I also checked out of my hotel on 6/14, do you think the TCs I should've earned already posted? I wish they had an option to view your past TC transactions so that you could know how many points you posted on a certain day from gaming and for restaurant/hotel/show ticket transactions.

Points for hotel stays should post within a day of check-out. If you think they didn't post and it would get you Gold then I'd call Mlife.
